Anyone applying to WesternU's MSN-E program? If so, do you know when they will start the interview process? What they look for in their applicants (gpa, extracurricular, etc)?
Current students--What were your stats like?
Any information would be helpful =)
Thanks in advance!
Yey!! I have an interview this Saturday!!! I am so nervous. I do think it makes a difference on when you get your interview. I think the sooner you have it, the better. You never know though. If you have a later interview and you really impress them... you could get a chance. I applied last year and didn't make it. I think I was in the third batch of interviews. If you do not get accepted they let you call back in about two months to speak to someone to find out what you can do better next time. When I called they said that I had a 3.6 cum GPA and my essay was good, but I guess I just did elaborate on the right stuff during my interview (or give the correct answers!). I was so nervous; I could hardly think! They asked a lot of scenario questions, so you really need to be on your toes. Don't let your nerves take control of you! Just breathe. Good luck to all of you! I'll probably see some of you this Saturday! :)
i have an interview this saturday too! this is my second go around, so i hope i get in this time and not on the alternate list! for the interview questions, they ask a lot of patient situational questions. the interviewers will ask you to put your “nurse thinking hat on” (i thought that was pretty funny). you just have to be on your toes because they are obviously looking at your critical thinking skills! good luck to everyone!!
hlu5. Yes I do have an interview on Monday. However, I didn't receive an e-mail, I got a phone call. What does the e-mail say?
Hi Vickan, she just asked if the date was okay and to call her. I left a message and she called back within 5 minutes. She also said she would be sending an email with all of the information but I haven't gotten one, have you? What time is yours? Mine is the afternoon time at 12:45 -5:00, maybe we can meet!
Yikes, they really didn't give you much notice. I hope that if I get an interview I get at least a week's notice. I think it might be tough to get a flight on that short of notice.
I called the admissions counselor yesterday and she said that not a lot of calls have gone out yet, CONGRATS to those that got them and interviews, and that they will be going on into most of February. I think that NursingCAS is slowing them down. I mean I've completed an additonal 16 hours since I created my NursingCAS application and they refuse to take any additional transcripts, how are we supposed to portray an accurate last 60 hours?
Good luck to everyone that has an interview, keep up posted!

ilnurse15 - I hope your interview went well. I'm from Rockford - moved out to San Diego five years ago. Rush University is a great school!
