Anyone applying to WesternU's MSN-E program? If so, do you know when they will start the interview process? What they look for in their applicants (gpa, extracurricular, etc)?

Current students--What were your stats like?

Hey everyone. I just found out about this thread and thought it was very informative for everyone who applied. I have also gotten in for this upcoming fall and I found out about 4 days ago. I interviewed at noon towards the end of January. I am planning on attending western univ. but am still waiting for a couple more schools. Let me know if anyone wants to maybe look into getting an apartment or something for the upcoming semester. best of luck to all of you and if you have any questions for me I am more than willing to answer them to the best of my knowledge.

I had a question for you guys that said you got denied from APU. When did you get denied? Did you receive a letter in the mail? For what application cycle was did you apply? I appreciate answers. I applied to start in the Fall 2011 (I think start of program is in August or September) but haven't heard anything. Thank You :)

Not to hijack this as it is a Western thread, but since this was asked I wanted to share my experience. Regarding APU I got a phone call yesterday notifying me of my denial for Fall 2011 @ the Azusa location. However, the counselor set up an interview/counseling session with me next week so that I can go over my app. and decide whether or not I want it to be forwarded for the Fall 2012 cycle @ Azusa or the Spring 2012 cycle for either the San Diego or San Bernardino cohort. She said that there was no waitlist and that my application will be forwarded to be looked at all over again for either acceptance or denial. I'm confused though I have read on here that there is a waitlist and when I emailed a counselor in Nov. he said I would have to reapply all over again if denied or not waitlisted. Can anyone clarify?

Hello fellow nurses,

I happened to stumble across this forum to see if anyone received their acceptance letter from Western. Seems like few people already did. I interviewed on Feb.15 and haven't heard anything from admissions yet.. I called them today and was told it may even take up to several weeks before all final decisions are made; that they are not even close to a completed list of accepted candidates. . .I think there is still hope as no one has received their alternate or rejection letter!!

Congrats to those who got accepted, and relax to those who are waiting anxiously!
