Anyone applying to WesternU's MSN-E program? If so, do you know when they will start the interview process? What they look for in their applicants (gpa, extracurricular, etc)?
Current students--What were your stats like?
Any information would be helpful =)
Thanks in advance!
ilnurse: i'm on the fence about western ... i'm curious as to know the reasons others want to go there, not because i don't think its a great school with amazing resources, but because i'm truly curious and would like to make an informed and smart decision ... i think someone else on this form asked the same question; so any responses would be great!
i think for now, GWU is my first choice. =) what about you?
Hey Everyone. Are there any other guys who have been accepted into the MSN-E Program for 2011 at Western?
I interviewed on the 28th, and received confirmation of my acceptance yesterday. I hope to inform you all not to be discouraged, as this year - I was told they interviewed almost 300+ people!
All the numbers seem to be off: on my interview day, one of the presenters during the orientation said 150 people were interviewed. During the interview, the first thing the two staff said was, "Congrats! you made it this far as we only interview 100 applicants!" ... and now another person says 300!
But still keeping fingers crossed for those who waiting... sending good vibes your way!
dlrosen, I think GWU is a great school and If you got in and deposited i'm jealous! I hope to hear back from them soon. I'm on pins and needles here I really hope to hear back from Western soon.
Ted: I think that they got 350 applications, which is what I read in my booklet at my interview on 2/15. Also the website stated in their FAQs that they typically only interview 100. I guess more qualified applicants applied.
Kitty - I haven't heard anything either ): I'm assuming It's a no being there were only 60 spots and they started sending the acceptance emails on Wednesday. I'm pretty bummed but there's always the waitlist??? I'm trying to keep my head up and stay optimistic but realistic at the same time. I figure if I'm not accepted then it wasn't the right fit and something else is waiting for me.
Delaine, I'm pretty sure that they started sending them out on Thursday. No one posted that they got an email until then. Also, at any given time last week there were more than 60 people watching this site throughout the day and only 7 or so posted that they were accepted. 2 people contacted admissions and were both told the same thing: they didn't have the full list of accepted yet. I think you shouldn't lose hope until you get a letter telling you that your status is Not Accepted. Until then, there is hope!
