I am a ut houston hopeful applying for the pacesetter and traditional programs for fall 2011! I will be done with my pre-req's: engl 1302 and hist 1302 this spring 2011. I plan on taking the hesi the beginning of December since the deadline for ut-houston has been changed to Jan 15. 2011. I wish everybody good luck as were getting down to the wire!!1 Anyone else out there?
"as of yesterday you do not have any applications on file for the term below."this is stated above my admissions semester selection. i am assuming i did not get in.
good luck to the remainders!
does it say fall 2010 or something? it'll show that for me too unless i choose fall 2011 on the drop down menu. when it takes you to your admissions status page, it'll then say something along the lines of there being a one day delay for any changes to be made or whatnot.

Can anyone help me decipher what this means?
I keep seeing people mention the Hold status and I just want to know what I am facing.
Thanks so much to everyone on all the wonderful information. The process of getting into any nursing school is such a difficult journey. This website is so comforting in that you can talk with others in the same boat.
Everyone starts out with two holds: a "CPR" hold and an "Immunzations" hold. After an admissions decision has been made for you, your holds will update and will include additional ones like "Admissions Documents" "Residency form hold" and "Criminal background check". Generally, the trend has been that anyone who sees their holds change one day will see their status change from "pending" to "admission granted" or "provisional admission granted" the next day after the overnight UTLINK update, so we take our holds changing as a good sign.
So, basically, I started out with these two holds:
Current CPR card hold
Immunizations
And yesterday, prior to being admitted, I had three additional holds:
Current CPR card hold
Immunizations
Criminal Background Check
Admissions Documents
Residency form hold
And this morning, my status changed from "pending..." to "You have been granted provisional admission. Admission letter in the mail."
Hope this helps and glad this website is helping you ease some nerves =)
I'm sure you were just as qualified, the programs just have very limited slots. Don't stop trying though you will definitely get in!
For all of you who do not get in this time around, I got wait listed for spring 2011 and had a 4.0 science, 3.7 nursing GPA and 93 HESI score. Sometimes the selection process seems random at best, as there are so many qualified candidates out there. Don't give up!!!!

"Holds" refers to information/documentation they need from you but don't have; BUT it does not mean they need it RIGHT NOW.
Some of us interrupted these "HOLDS" as positive signs in regards to our acceptance into the program (only to have that confirmed for some and leaving others hanging in limbo); BUT an Admin lady told me two days ago - just because you have these holds changed DOES NOT guarantee acceptance until you (I am hoping she just "has" to say that):
1. Have your status changed.
2. Get a letter telling you that your status is changed.
There could be several reasons your status has not changed yet - this is all PURE CONJECTURE:
1. Holds post immediately - status change takes a while...
2. You are on the bottum of the application pile (not for any particular reason - bad luck) and they just haven't gotten to you yet.
3. You may be put on an alternates list.
4. They enjoy messing with you....
5. Sadly, you may not have gotten in.
The "holds" after you get accepted are all things you will have to provide.
Good Luck - I'll sacrifice a chicken for you....
