  1. As soon as you get in buy your books and read your toosh off before the 1st day of class. :)
  2. I am eligible for aid, I do not have a Bachelor's degree. I do have about 71 credit hours, so I will need to do an appeal our last year in school being that we can not exceed 108 in the adn for FAid. I was wondering if what I receive will cover tuition and books, but they said our files will not be completed anytime soon... stinks:uhoh3:
  3. I am going to Redi-clinic to begin my Hep B(again) tomorrow... I am ready for orientation!! Has anyone had financial aid updated for COM yet?
  4. Tx Nurse to be: You will be fine with the hep series. I am in the same shoes. It is only for their liability and your safety of course! But if the series does not work a second time(titer 8-12 after last series shot) then your Dr just writes a letter that you have low immunities and you can and will still be able to be a nursing student and nurse in the future! This is what my Dr, Com's nursing Assistant, and my Mother(25 yr nurse) has told and reassured me! Hope this helps! So i am assuming that we do not need to buy scrubs until right before the 2nd 8 weeks. I know to wait until our orientation to see what they want us to do, but I will be relying on financial aid for my uniforms. At other schools we wear told we had to have at least $500 up front for uniforms and supplies.
  5. do you have to live in galveston county for the titer?
  6. Okay I am not sure that I did this correctly, but look for the https://www.facebook.com/home.php?sk=group_208912635811985&ap=1
  7. Hmmm... at SJC they wear scrubs everyday that is why I thought it may be possible. The scheldule: I KNOW!!! I am so excited! Some students may still have other classes. I have med term and 2 pe that I need. Maybe it will be the time to take them! lol We should start a FB page!
  8. I only had an 89 on reading (5pts). It seemed so much easier than it was. But I still got in with 121 over all points.
  9. I have already turned in all of my documents to the nursing department. My titer for hep B showed no antibodies so I have to have the immunization series again ... I can not wait for the 18th of July. Does @ Tx Nurse 2 Be: Does you friend wear scrubs everyday to school or only to clinicals? I want to clean my closet out and debating on to keep some clothes or not... lol
  10. Our uniforms are purchased at the school store. right? I know that we will have all of our questions answered July 18th, but I am was just wondering
  11. Doe anyone know what locations our clinicals may take place?
  12. My friend and I are car pooling from Clear Lake area. I am in Pasadena skirts to cl lake. Let me know if anyone else is. We will all see at orientation also!
  13. I got in with 121 and my friend got in with 116!!! Good luck to the rest of you!
  14. @divine what are your points?
  15. If you do not mind me asking what were you points? Just wondering what the number are.
