I am a ut houston hopeful applying for the pacesetter and traditional programs for fall 2011! I will be done with my pre-req's: engl 1302 and hist 1302 this spring 2011. I plan on taking the hesi the beginning of December since the deadline for ut-houston has been changed to Jan 15. 2011. I wish everybody good luck as were getting down to the wire!!1 Anyone else out there?
Still nothing, not even a change in holds. I keep going over my stats... 3.5 nursing, 4.0 science, 3.15 overall; as for HESI: 97.4 with 860 CT and 96 on A&P. Surely that's good enough to at least get waitlisted? If anything is keeping me down, I'd bet it's all the withdrawals a few years back...plus not the highest nursing GPA compared to those who've gotten in. Also, no healthcare experience.
I'm feeling very glad that I applied multiple places---but waiting like this is definitely making me realize how much I want UT!

I'm a former bio major and Im carrying my low undergrad gpa with me. 3.68 nursing, 3.25 science, 2.87 undergrad. 87.7 hesi with 810 ct and 92 on a&p. i have 3 or 4 W drops. I also applied to Lonestar's nursing program too, but im most especially shootin' for UT. With 80 slots or so, I would imagine that the adcoms have already decided who is in and who isn't. Not trying to be discouraging, but how much longer until those 80 or so hold updates and status changes are complete? /heartbreak
Chaos, your GPA's are about the same as mine but your HESI scores are WAY better. Especially the A&P score. I have no doubt you'll get accepted; maybe your application just happens to be at the bottom of the pile. Other threads have said they process all the applications in a big stack- accepted & rejected all mixed together- so if you're at the bottom, it might take a few days before you find out. Definitely don't give up hope yet.
Mac, there are 130 slots- 80 for the Regular program and 50 for the Pacesetter program. I don't believe they sort the applications by accept/reject before they change the holds; there's just a pile of 800 or so applications and they start from the top. Even if they were able to process 100 applications a day, that's still at least 8 business days... and the holds only started changing Wednesday. It's not over yet.
