Fall 2011 UT Houston Health Sciences hopefuls

I am a ut houston hopeful applying for the pacesetter and traditional programs for fall 2011! I will be done with my pre-req's: engl 1302 and hist 1302 this spring 2011. I plan on taking the hesi the beginning of December since the deadline for ut-houston has been changed to Jan 15. 2011. I wish everybody good luck as were getting down to the wire!!1 Anyone else out there?

My sweet husband stayed up two hours past his bed time to re-activate (?) explorer so I could check UTLINK - only to tell us it was not available (it was after 9pm - they shut it off?)

So I check this morning, I guess all those Chicken sacrifices paid off because.......I got provisional acceptance!!!!!!!! Now what to do with all those chicken carcasses in my backyard?;)

I had:

Nurse Pre: 3.82

Science: 4.0

Accum: 3.763

HESI: 90.9 with a 860 critical

My husband's gift to me, if I got in, was 3 month supply of underwear for everyone in the family - so if we couldn't get to laundry at least the undercarriage would be clean! Victoria Secrets here I come - well, for me only - if my husband or son wanted to go there for themselves....well, I didn't plan on going into psychiatric nursing, but one never knows....

My nursing pre req is a 3.37

science gpa 3.75

my hesi score was a 89 with critcal 810

and I still havent heard form ut :uhoh3:. I keep on check my status and there hasnt been any changes. But comgrats to everybody who has gotten in.

i keep calling 713-500-2100 which is the number on the website and click 5, to direct me to the bsn councelors but nobody answers..i've been trying since 8 this morning

UTLink doesn't specify whether I was admitted to the Pacesetter or Regular program- is it the same for everyone else? I wonder if the letter we get in the mail will tell us, or if we have to wait until closer to the Fall semester to find out.

According to the Fall 2010 thread, holds started to change on March 30. On April 1, people began receiving emails from Admissions telling them what program they were accepted into. So we might not have to wait too long to find out - time to start stalking your inbox! :D

Can anyone help me? I am reading all these posts and thought that you had to have interviews with UTHSC before they made any final decisions.

Congrats to everyone that made it in - I know you all must be thrilled. Lots of hard work has paid off.

Julie, for some reason they didn't do interviews this year. I don't think anyone here knows why. Admission decisions were based entirely on GPA's, HESI scores, and whatever information was in your online application (school history, work history, etc).
