Fall 2011 UT Houston Health Sciences hopefuls

I am a ut houston hopeful applying for the pacesetter and traditional programs for fall 2011! I will be done with my pre-req's: engl 1302 and hist 1302 this spring 2011. I plan on taking the hesi the beginning of December since the deadline for ut-houston has been changed to Jan 15. 2011. I wish everybody good luck as were getting down to the wire!!1 Anyone else out there?

Nurseguy I just checked my Utlink... I now have these holds.

criminal background

cpr card hold

immunizations

residency form hold

what does this mean, and has anyone else's changed?

From what I read in the threads of previous applicants(summer accel), this happens just before the status is updated!

I just read through the summer thread and confirmed that after their holds changed their status changed the next day... omg!!! now I wanna go to bed and wake up till tomorrow.... lol

What holds do you have now?

Ok - I don't want to chap anybodies hide - but the lady at student health service (where you will send you shots and CPR records to) said they change every ones holds - you still have to be accepted. I hope she just "has" to say that...but at the same time I don't want to get my knickers in a twist and not have it happen.

My holds are the same as what you listed. However, I do have one that says admissions documents, which I'm going to assume reflects that I still have a few more classes to finish this semester.

Ialanais: this is too EXCITING!! I bet you'd be lucky to sleep at all tonight. That is unless UTLINK is updated again today!

Oldcrone I know what you mean, I wanna jump of excitement but at the same time don't want to get my hopes up for nothing... just have to wait like we've been doing these past few months...

nurseguy yea I think I read some people on the summer thread stating they didn't have the admissions hold either. oh and yea probably won't get much sleep... I have to be up by 3am to go to work so I'll be checking my Utlink at that time LOL. not sure they will make any changes today anymore though its already 5 pm and my guess is they go home at this time...

ftrnrs2011 I wouldnt say we're in yet... our status has not changed yet only holds....

My stats are not as great as others here but here it goes....

Nursing gpa 3.70

Science gpa 3.25

Undergrad gpa 3.37

Hesi 83.03%

I got an AS in science since I had all the required classes for it.

I've worked in the medical field since high school, not sure if that helped.

Just letting everyone know that my holds have changed also since the late afternoon. My Hesi and GPA scores should be located somewhere on this thread.
