I have Not received a transcript evaluation yet. I keep checking my mail everyday which I usually only do once a week :uhoh3: but nothing yet.... will check again today after work.

Stayfocus - I would suggest looking at the McGraw-Hill and Kaplan Nurse Entrance Exam books to review for the A&P section. For everything else use the HESI A2 Evolve study guide. Don't worry, you'll do great! Good luck :).

Ialanis - I am sure a transcript evaluation is on the way!

Prenursing9892,

Thank you so much..... I have both of those study guides so I will look at the A & P section in both and also go over my old notes....

My GPA's are still horrible ! I retook some classes but made good grades in them. Do they average out the scores? I am freaed out. Someone from admissions told me i did not have a GPA yet on file ...but why on earth did it change then ?!?! I hav had no help from anyone and nobody is even responding t my e-mails :(

To those who do not know my prereq gpa went from a 3.09 to a 2.954 and my science when from a 3.4 to a 2.8 :(

does anyone get an interview letter yet?

Carrie, is that what they told you on the phone or did you go to the office in person? It may take them a few days to reply to an email, especially if there's not an easy answer and they have to do some research. Stay positive and it will all work out eventually!

Tuwzee, I haven't received a letter yet. I thought someone on this thread said UT would be mailing the letters this week, so we might not actually get them until next week...

what numbers are yall calling to get a hold of someone? and when you go to the actual office are you going to the office of student affairs or the admissions office?

I received a transcript evaluation after I sent my transcripts before the deadline. I sent both my SHSU and Lonestar transcripts, but upon receiving the evaluation, it stated that they had not received my Lonestar transcript and that needed to be sent asap. I just called the student affairs office @ 713-500-2100 and I was eventually transfered to admissions to answer my questions: everything was good to go, they were barely updating UTLink and lo and behold, everything on my admissions status was officially filed. They were very prompt, generous, and helpful. I haven't received another transcript evaluation detailing my Lonestar credits, but I, too, keep checking the mail often to no avail.

It may take them a few days to reply to an email, especially if there's not an easy answer and they have to do some research.

I think you're right about it taking longer if it's not an easy answer. I emailed admissions and SON about the missing grades on my course eval and got a response within a couple hours, but my email was literally a numbered list of simple things they needed to do, spelled out with all relevant info.

i.e. "2. Add credit for Statistics, taken fall 2009 at ACC"

Carrie--they've probably just got a ton of crap going on right now. I think it's also luck of the draw; I got a fast response because someone happened to be free when I emailed. And UTLink always takes a day to update, so there is that delay too. Keep trying :) Oh, and to answer your question, ALL attempts get factored into your overall GPA, but for science GPA they just use the highest grade. Can't remember what they do for Nursing GPA. Good luck!

I called today and got someone on the phone. I think the reason why I have been freaking out is because NOBODY HAS HELPED ME until today. I have repeated a few classes and I talked to Rita (someone who is sending out the transcripts). The problem was that they were taking my first attempt grade to calculate my gpa's and she realized this and told me I would be receiving 2 evaluations. One with the wrong gpa's, and one with the updated gpa's. Before I got ahold of Rita I was talking to an admissions representative and I asked, "Don't you guys take the most recent grade on repeated classes when calculating the prerequisite and science gpa?" She put me on hold and said, "Yes, just not with the overall gpa." At this point I was totally upset and angry and said... "How does 4 A's in lectures and 3 B's in labs equal a 2.8 science gpa?!?!?!!" She finally gave me a freaking person I could call.

Anyways, Thank God it's over.

I will be ending with about a 3.1-3.2 prerequisite gpa, a 3.65ish science gpa, and a 2.6 overall (because I had to bust my butt for all the semesters I spent wasting time)

85.5% on Hesi

830 on Critical Thinking

Yay! I hope I can get an Interview :heartbeat

Congrats Carrie! I'm glad you were able to get everything sorted out! :D

Did Rita say whether or not your UTlink would be updated today, so that the correct GPA's will show up tomorrow?
