Fall '05, what are you taking???

Published

What classes are you taking and when do you start? And just to give us something to look forward to, when do you graduate? :chuckle

I am taking Growth and Development

Microbiology and lab

American Literature

I am an LPN finishing up my pre-reqs for the RN program, which I will hopefully start in May of '06.

I start Monday, August 15. Blah...

How about y'all?

Specializes in Women's Health.

I'm taking....eek!...yet another med/surg class, peds, and the long dreaded, put off until the next to last semester...speech class.

Fundamental Concepts of Nursing. It's the first course in my ADN program, and, as they say, the most important. I'll try my best, but I'm really scared. :chuckle

I start the 22nd (my first semester) and it couldn't come fast enough!

I want to get the process started, already.

I'm taking:

Algebra

Psychology

Freshman Comp I

Chemistry

I'm supposed to take Biology for Majors this semester but I didn't realize it until it was too late. I didn't set up my schedule, an advisor did. Now I'm going to have to take an extra semester to accommodate the 4 required Biology courses. So much for the advisement!

At least I get to start clinicals next semester with my PCT class.

That will help me feel like I'm actually working towards something.

Good luck everyone :)

I'm taking Nursing 101 and 102 which is interesting... Nurs 101 is about 8.5 weeks and then 102 is 8.5 weeks, so two classes in one semester. So if we don't pass 101, we don't go on to 102. Is anyone else set up like this?? :uhoh21:

I had my orientation yesterday and it was SO wonderful! The teachers were all so nice and encouraging. They did not say anything about failing or weeding people out. The class from the previous semester had a luncheon for us and we were buddied up with them so we had a "mentor". I asked my mentor so many questions and she was so nice and gave me lots of great tips.

Class starts Tue the 16th!! I am so excited and nervous and scared. I want nothing more that to be a nurse and to succeed in the program. I hope I can make it!

Good luck to everyone starting classes, I wish you the best. :)

Classes start 9/6

I'm registered for

Intro to Soc

Math and Applications

Human Development

World Civilization

I have my AD in Medical Assisting and once I complete these I need to take A&P and Bio as the college wouldn't accept these from my AD.

From there I wait till my name comes up for Nursing 101.

Good Luck to everyone!

Im taking a half semester of maternal/newborn and then a half semester of psych. Its the third semester in my two-year program and the only one like this.

Basic Nursing with two labs, Community Nursing I with lab, Pharmacology, and American Government I.

Specializes in Cardiac Care.

Orientation starts on the 29th. My first semester is Nursing 101 and A&P 1. Ordinarily, I'd be taking Chemistry also, but I took that this summer just so I wouldn't have to deal with it with the other two courses.

Specializes in Telemetry & Obs.

I had two semesters like that: Peds/Maternity Nursing and Psych/Gero. If you failed either Peds or MN, you had to repeat the whole semester, but Psych and Gero were seperate grades so you could fail one and keep your credit for the other.

Next Wednesday I start NUR 135 Adult Med/Surg. Then ONE MORE SEMESTER, and I graduate

Specializes in OB, lactation.

Nursing 120 - Human Response

Nursing 121 - Assessment

Math 109 - Nursing Mathematics
