What classes are you taking and when do you start? And just to give us something to look forward to, when do you graduate? :chuckle

I am taking Growth and Development

Microbiology and lab

I am an LPN finishing up my pre-reqs for the RN program, which I will hopefully start in May of '06.

I start Monday, August 15. Blah...

How about y'all?

Specializes in NICU.

Med/Surg II

Psych Nursing

Nutrition

I'm a bit scared about the Psych class. We have to cover our last names on our name badges. EEK

DeLySh

Specializes in Family.

I'm taking the transition nursing class and Math 102 and College Skills (my elective, lol). Next semester I'll be in the RN program which is 3 total semesters for LPN to RN.

Specializes in Informatics.

I am taking:

Second level nursing (half psych and half med.surg, although I managed to get on a peds floor!)

Nursing Dimensions (I think this is mostly about how to get a job!)

Nursing Organization and Management

I graduate in May 2006. Not so long now!

I'm taking Nursing 101 and 102 which is interesting... Nurs 101 is about 8.5 weeks and then 102 is 8.5 weeks, so two classes in one semester. So if we don't pass 101, we don't go on to 102. Is anyone else set up like this?? :uhoh21:

Mine is like this, too. Nursing Process I first half, Nursing Process II second half (each accompanied by their respective clinicals). I'm also taking Pharmacology, which runs 16 weeks, and Math for Health Professionals, which runs the first 4 weeks.

My husband is particularly excited about the fact that he will have to do the preparations for school 2 days a week for the next year and a half. I've always done it. I'm trying to convince him that it really isn't that long.:)

Specializes in Hospice, Internal Medicine.

This is my first semester of the ADN program. I should graduate in May '07. I have all my gen ed done so I'm just taking Nursing classes. I'm taking the following:

NURS 191: Pharmacology in Nursing I

NURS 192: Fundamentals of Nursing (First 9 weeks)

NURS 193: Intro to Med-Surg/Gero Nursing (Second 9 weeks)

HS 168: Patient Care Skills - Open Lab

Specializes in NICU.

Hi Everyone, I'm not into the actual nursing classes until January, but here is what I'm taking anyway:

BIOL 370 : Microbiology

PHIL 230: Ethics

SOCI 310: Cultural Anthropology

COMM 100: Into to Communications

FCSC 300: Nutrition

HHPA 120: Life Fitness

All together, it will be 18 credits, the most you can take without paying extra tuition. Even though it will be a lot of work I'm still excited!

Good Luck to Everyone!!! :p

Just 2 more semester left and I'll be donning a cap and gown. School starts 8/17/05, taking Nurs 4 which is advance med-surg and psych. Good luck to eveyone striving toward their dream :balloons:
