Starting this thread for anyone that have questions or concerns about the 2018 fall nursing program at Miami Dade College. I have a 4.0 science gpa and studying to take the hesi by the end of February. I also plan on applying for the generic full time as well as the accelerated program because I'm not sure which one I want yet. I already have a bachelors from FIU and I literally started all the prerequisites the summer of 2017. If anywho took those sequences can you please share your stories? Pro and con.. And also what is the hesi like!
The program is tough, but yes obviously doable. For the AO program you shouldn't work. I think one or two people in my class worked and they both failed. You don't have the option to pick professors. It's whoever is assigned to work that semester. And for clinicals, I can't say because I chose based on hospital location and I didn't meet the other clinical professors. If you have no medical experience/background the beginning can feel all over the place, but it'll make sense eventually lol. If you haven't taken A&P in awhile I suggest looking over that.
Oh, cool.
So this is the second time applying, and your comepettitive avergae was 82 when you applied. I wonder what was the average they accepted in the spring. I got a friend who applied for spring. She got 79 on her hesi and got into the accelerated program. I wonder how all of this works :-/

Yea this my 2nd time around. I only applied for the Generic and a lot of students applied for that.
Hi everyone! I'm sure most of you have seen this but for those who haven't check this link School of Nursing | Miami Dade College . It will give you an idea of the steps to follow when accepted (positive thoughts;-). Good Luck to all of you taking your HESI test this month!
