Thank you MOONNightNURSE! Lots of tips in that answer! I wish you SUCCESS on this new job offer! I know you'll do well. In my opinion you'll end up flirting with teaching later on, as you seem to have a passion for helping people to succeed. Best of luck and keep letting us know about your journey!

Nursing MDC 2018
HI MOONNightNURSE! Congrats on your NCLEX passing! WAY TO GO!! Tell us about the jobs seeking and what you situation has been?!?! has it been hard to find work? This is something that keeps stressing me as some people are lucky but others spend months without any job offer. How has it been for you so far?

Nursing MDC 2018
Hi MOONNightNURSE, Currently on my Third Semester, dealing with Psych! I have two questions for you. What have you heard on how long will it take for you to be eligible to select a date for NClex? I'm asking because I thought it would be relatively fast after we are done, but was told the college would take two to three months to submit everything to the board. ? Second, the prospect of start applying for jobs or receiving offers while at clinical in advance med surge or leadership. Does this happen at all? Your thoughts... Thanks!

Nursing MDC 2018
PsychedVikki, Yes, our orientation was on July 10th or 12th, maybe both as you have a group in Medical Campus and another in Homestead. We received the confirmation pretty early last year, around June 9th if I remember correctly. Orientation is not what you need to worry the most; It is about the requirements to start, all the vaccines, background checks, CPR courses. If you could start having those done is better, ( in case you have plans of going on vacations after orientation...still you will have time.)

MDC Nursing Spring 2017
Thanks dportal2006! I still have a long way to go, but since I have no previous experience in hospital setting I worry about this. Certainly my network in that environment is 0 and I need to work on that, but I am willing to relocate (at least for the 1-2 years of experience everybody asks for), so that gives me hope. Thank you for sharing and for the tips!

MDC Nursing Spring 2017
Hi everybody. I'm currently taking my ADN classes at Homestead but I was wondering, how difficult has been for you to find a job in South Florida. I know a couple of people who have spend months applying like crazy but without any real offer. Has it been the case for you?? Tips??

Nursing MDC 2018
Hi ********, Hey thanks for all the info and tips! I am getting my nursing cards as suggested. I will be beginning in August at Homestead. Are you going there? if you can tell me about the options that will be assigned for Registering for Class, and any recommendations you have about it. Also how does clinical rotation work and which places would you recommend to have hands on the job. I like Baptist but I keep hearing they don't let you do much there....any thoughts??
