Hi everyone, Jimnurse75. Good Luck on your HESI. I took mine already and did pretty well:88. I would recommend everyone to study ahead. I did not have enough time and practically burned the Pocket Prep app to prepare. I used the review book from Evolve and pocket prep. The also provide two free tests at Evolve once you register for test, I used those too. I have been wondering too if one can work while in the nursing program. I will probably stop working when I start until I get an idead of how much time I really have to work.

Hi everyone!
I am taking the Hesi on Thursday 3/15. My science gpa is a 2.9. It's not the best. Any advice on taking the hesi?!
I am stressing and scared.

Omg, I'm taking the HESI on thursday as well (at 2pm). What are the science gpa? A/P1 n 2 w (labs?), Chem ( lab too) and Micro? I got all As but a B in Chem ( in lab n lecture).

Hello guys, I new here and I took the Hesi test today and my score was 84 :/ idk if that's a good score or not but I apply anyway to the generic full-time program.

Do you think that I should've applied also to the generic part-time?

That's what I'm doing....not putting all my eggs in one basket.

I think 84 is pretty good. It also depends on your GPA.

My GPA is 4.0, but I'm still nervous because MDC is very competitive. Do you know what is the average grade for the Hesi?

Not sure to be honest. Your competitive score is a 90% which is great.

I've spoken to current nursing students and have been told by some of them that they got low 80s and 70s on their hesi. I've also looked in previous classes' threads and they've usually had something above an 80.

WELL, i came to the medical campus to apply for the part time program. She told me that 84 is good but no excellent as you yold me, and that the higher uour grade the better.

I am thinking on retaking te HEsi again :-/ I have to wait 30 days though.

Hey! I got accepted to NOVA today. Now just have to wait for MDC... Science GPA at nova was 3.85 (they look at other science classes I took) and my Kaplan was 76.

HI guys...well I didnt get a good score at the Hesi...got only 78 but I am gonna retake it. Make sure you guys know even the little things that are not hard to know...I got too confident in anatomy n they got me in that. my Competive Score is 84 but still I think there is room for imprivement in my end. I have been askig my nursing friends about their averge Competitive scores or their Hesi scores in the their groups when they got accepted but it seems that is a hush topic. They dont ask each other what were their hesi score or what was their competitive score. Both my friends that got accepted on 2 semesters ago an the one that is in her 1st semester told me the same thing " to be honest, I dont know coz no one cares at this point". So we are going in the blind. One friend told me that one f his friends had an 80 competitive score w a 3.0 gpa and he did not get in for Spring. Now, both my nursing friends got in with 84% and 87% competive score. I guess every semester is different since it is acceptance is based on the amoint of people applying and the scores the group gets.
