Starting this thread for anyone that have questions or concerns about the 2018 fall nursing program at Miami Dade College. I have a 4.0 science gpa and studying to take the hesi by the end of February. I also plan on applying for the generic full time as well as the accelerated program because I'm not sure which one I want yet. I already have a bachelors from FIU and I literally started all the prerequisites the summer of 2017. If anywho took those sequences can you please share your stories? Pro and con.. And also what is the hesi like!
Hey guys, an update on my HESI... Took it Feb 28... I got an 80 and i have a 3.6 GPA. I went ahead and applied anyways to both Generic Full and part time. My competitive score is 84% which the advisor said anything after 80 is good. Now the wait until mid June will absolutely kill me =O
National average was still 75 by the way, and almost everyone that took it that day got about 67 on the exam. (I asked 6 of them and we were about 10)
I did, i even remember 2 of the chemistry questions that were exactly the same. I used the pocket prep and the book. The Anatomy section from the HESI book is not enough, the HESI's anatomy section is more detailed so I suggest you read your lab manuals and books from your A&P classes. But the chemistry and biology is exactly whats on the book. I really thought the chemistry section was going to be the hardest but is was not, i scored the lowest in math, there are alor of long and confusing word problems that are not multiple choice so that threw me off. Def memorize ALL the conversions for the math section.
