Fall 2018 Miami Dade College

Updated:   Published

Starting this thread for anyone that have questions or concerns about the 2018 fall nursing program at Miami Dade College. I have a 4.0 science gpa and studying to take the hesi by the end of February. I also plan on applying for the generic full time as well as the accelerated program because I'm not sure which one I want yet. I already have a bachelors from FIU and I literally started all the prerequisites the summer of 2017. If anywho took those sequences can you please share your stories? Pro and con.. And also what is the hesi like!

It wasn't bad at all .. I study the Hesi A2 book 3rd edition. I just wish they couldve took my Broward Hesi scores :/ I scored a 94% and I didn't feel like looking at that book anymore so I took it and made 88% dade

That's still a great score! Hmm I wonder how different the 4th edition is from the 3rd edition hesi book ..now I think I'll buy the 3rd edition just In case I'm missing something

I don't think it's a big difference and the class average so far is a 75%

Oh then in that case I'll stick to what I have! Thanks for your input and good luck on getting your acceptance letter.. !

I turned in my application today and paid my fee. Vita is really helpful.. I'm excited

I've been using the Pocket prep app as well, I purchased it for $12.99 and also the Elsevier Hesi A2 3rd edition. I find i learn better by doing practice questions, reading from the book does nothing for me =( Any tips on studying? Thank you!

I applied for the Generic full time fall 2018, got 92 on the hesi and my science GPA is 4.00. Hopefully they call me

YOU Are most certainly in! Make sure you get a cpr card while you wait! ?

I have the cpr card already, thank you for telling me ?

Awesome!!!!! Do you mind letting us know what did you use to help you study and get a fantastic score?

Sure... I used the Elsevier book 3rd edition, the pocket prep app, and I studied in my notes (anatomy, chemistry)

Hey everyone! I am also applying for the fall 2018 FT and PT. I have a 4.0 science GPA and scored an embarrassing 81.43 on the HESI. So I have an 88.85% competitive score. I don't think that's well enough to get me in though. I'm taking the HESI again sometime in march, hopefully I'll do better then. Good luck to everyone applying!
