I start Lincoln Technical Institute in Center City August 8th
My program is a 1 yr program
I am becoming an LPN because I applied to Northeastern Hospital School of Nursing twice and was denied, the first time in 2010 because my GPA was too low and this year because I failed the Teas V test by 1 point I think I couldn't concentrate because I was 3 weeks away from my due date. I got turned down by Community College of Philadelphia of this year because I scored a high score on the NET but, because others had higher scores they got chosen first and I didn't want to put my career on hold any longer so I have decided to become an LPN and then do my RN online at Excelsior online which is better for me anyway so that I am able to work. Then I would later like to either become a Nurse Practitioner or a Nurse Anesthetist.
My program is $27,000 its a lot of money BUT, I have to do what I have to do to start my career I am 24 years of age with 2 children I want to provide a good life for them, depending on food stamps for my family to eat and or living pay check to pay check is not an option for me nor will it be in my future.
