FALL 2020 Johns Hopkins MSN: Entry into Nursing

Updated:   Published

Hello everyone,

I'm currently preparing to apply to JHSON MSN: Entry into nursing program for fall 2020. I was wondering anyone has an idea what the acceptance criteria is?

I have a very good gpa in undergrad (3.92) so the admissions team told me I do not need to include GRE scores.

Also how many words should our essays be?

Best of Luck!

Quick question -- does anyone have a rough idea of when we'll get a breakdown of our financial aid?

I got mine a couple of weeks after committing. You'll get an email to set up your SIS account. Takes a few days to get your JHU ID, but you can still sign in, but it can be a tricky with the temp ID; use that with @jhu.edu.

Same here. Hopefully we’ll hear something soon!

Just called JHU Nursing Admissions and was told that regardless of their decision (acceptance, waitlist, rejection), we'll be notified via email.

Fingers crossed for you and you and you and me!

@lavieenrose and @FutureRNNursing I also called JHU Nursing Admissions and was told that they are sending emails out in batches over the next week and a half. So we have time ?

@lavieenrose @taspitt Thanks y’all! Eases down my nerves a bit. Best wishes for us!

Hello all! I am still waiting to hear the good word. My app was received on 2/12. On 2/13, I received a congrats your on your way email, then I received an email on 2/28 asking me if I was still interested in applying and to call admissions with any questions. I have no idea if any of this means anything. Anyone else get the same emails?

I've already committed to the school (early January) and I still get emails for information sessions--in person and virtual--on the program for prospective applicants. The important thing is that you got the application received email.

I’m still waiting to hear the good word also. I called admissions today and they said I should be hearing back from them in mid March.

I got my acceptance today at 4pm PST. I will not be accepting as I have decided to attend Columbia’s MDE/DNP program. I hope this opens up a spot to one of you amazing future nurses on the waitlist. ❤️

Thank you. I hope so. I’m patiently waiting. Congratulations on getting into Columbia. Good luck❤️

Any other acceptances, declines, waitlists? I've heard zilch so far.
