FALL 2020 Johns Hopkins MSN: Entry into Nursing

Updated:   Published

Hello everyone,

I'm currently preparing to apply to JHSON MSN: Entry into nursing program for fall 2020. I was wondering anyone has an idea what the acceptance criteria is?

I have a very good gpa in undergrad (3.92) so the admissions team told me I do not need to include GRE scores.

Also how many words should our essays be?

Best of Luck!

Is this for the Fall 2020 cohort? I thought there was only the Nov 1 and Jan 1 deadline?

Yes those for the initial deadlines. However, I have been in contact with JHOP nursing admissions and they sent out various emails encouraging applications by the due date of February 15th.

For those are accepted and interested in connecting with other potential students, there's a FB group created for JHUSON Fall 2020 cohort: https://www.facebook.com/groups/452768102330561/

Anyone know exactly when acceptances for priority deadline roll out?

The SON website site says early March. I suggest looking at the threads for previous fall cohorts to get an idea on a rough date. People will most likely have posted about accepted, rejected, and waitlist status.

If I were to guess an approximate date, I would say by March 15, given the second Accepted Students Day is March 28. This would give two weeks for planning to go to Baltimore.

I do know the commit date was firm for the early decision people because the number of people who did or not effects the number of spots available for the priority pool.

Hi all! Just received my acceptance letter today along with a generous scholarship. Strongly considering this program, but have some big decisions to make.

I received my acceptance email last night! Very very excited!

Congrats to those who have been accepted already! @Midwife2Be and @orneryscientist could you share what time you received your emails? Do you think they are staggering the acceptance notifications?

Fingers crossed for those of us who haven't heard yet!

Any other acceptances?

Hi All!

I applied super late Mid-Feb, but admissions told me there were still spots for this fall. Commenting to follow the thread. Hopefully, there are more to come! It looks like last year wait-list were sent by mail and most admissions came within the first week of march. Best of luck to all!
