FALL 2020 Johns Hopkins MSN: Entry into Nursing

Updated:   Published

Hello everyone,

I'm currently preparing to apply to JHSON MSN: Entry into nursing program for fall 2020. I was wondering anyone has an idea what the acceptance criteria is?

I have a very good gpa in undergrad (3.92) so the admissions team told me I do not need to include GRE scores.

Also how many words should our essays be?

Best of Luck!

I just got in with a Peace Corps scholarship!

We have a FB page for admitted students that have decided I attend. Join the dark side if you haven’t already (;

Just received my acceptance letter via email!!! Last name starts with an H. Not sure yet if I'll be accepting. Have a month to think about it! Was your Scholarship offers in your acceptance letters??

Congrats!(: Have a FB group too!

My scholarship offer was in the admissions link they sent in the acceptance email. I didn’t think I received anything at first.

Hey everyone! Congrats to everyone who got in! And I am so sorry for those who haven't. I recently got rejections from two of my top choices, so I know how difficult it can be, but our journey does not end here!

I will be applying by the January 1st deadline, anyone else here that hasn't applied yet? I am hoping that applying for the priority deadline instead of the early deadline won't make it more difficult to get in but I am probably just overthinking it.

i’m thinking about applying also. do you know if we can have the LOR sent past jan 1st?

Congrats to those who received your offer!

Is there anyone still waiting for their decision? I haven't heard anything yet and I've been really nervous over the past week.

I am also still waiting. I want to call admissions tomorrow - to those who’ve called or emailed them about this topic, how did you phrase your questions? I don’t want to seem too pushy!

Yes you can. But try to keep it within a week so that it's not too far from the deadline

Before getting my decision, I had emailed them on Thursday, and someone told me that more decisions will be released next week, so don’t lose hope.

Is anyone going to the Accepted Study Day on January 24/25? If so, anyone coming from out of town? It looks like I'll be going solo, and was thinking someone may want to split a room? I'm looking at packages from January 23 through 26. I understand if someone is not going to be staying the whole time.

I am so curious does anyone know what the acceptance rate of this year's program was?
