FALL 2020 Johns Hopkins MSN: Entry into Nursing

Updated:   Published

Hello everyone,

I'm currently preparing to apply to JHSON MSN: Entry into nursing program for fall 2020. I was wondering anyone has an idea what the acceptance criteria is?

I have a very good gpa in undergrad (3.92) so the admissions team told me I do not need to include GRE scores.

Also how many words should our essays be?

Best of Luck!

JH SON admission department does, 8). Really, what you're really asking is how many people applied to the program. Sure it's nice to know how competitive it may have been. Some nursing schools, or colleges in general, have an insane amount of applicants for various reasons. One school nursing school I got into had almost a thousand applicants for sixty spots; it was a BSN program.

End of the day, if you were accepted, be happy you're going to be able to move forward to becoming a nurse. You are no longer stuck in limbo land.

I received my acceptance letter in the mail today (12/31/19). It had some brochures and a window sticker. I have a feeling my mother may use the window sticker.

Hey everyone!

I just found out about this website, I got accepted to Johns Hopkins. Is anyone on here from California?

Also is anyone thinking about housing yet?

Hi Everyone,

I just got an email I've been wait listed. I accepted the wait list spot. Fingers crossed for now!

Anyone else get on the wait list?

Hi everyone! Did anyone else apply after the priority deadline? Is there any chance we'll hear back before the March deadline? I'm already so anxious!

@Klm3471 I applied after the priority deadline. I suspect only the admissions office knows when they'll release the decisions! Waiting is definitely the hardest part. Hang in there.

I'm from the San Fransico Bay Area.

Thinking about housing, yes, but I was going to wait till after the Accepted Students Day before I do anything active towards finding housing. I want to see what options the school says graduate students have. Plus, I have no familiarity with Baltimore.

@botmann

I’m also from the Bay Area, I’ll be graduating from CSU east bay this spring. What school are you from?

I'm from several schools--Solano Community College, Napa Valley College, and UC San Diego. I got my bachelor's many moons ago. I'm currently near Napa.

I got into CSUEB's (Concord) nursing program for the spring 2020 cohort. Rumor at orientation there was they had almost a thousand applicants for sixty spots.

I don't have a facebook, can someone send the link to the accepted students page??

I am 24 years old. Is anyone thinking about housing yet??

Anyone still waiting on other schools before committing?

@Doulaseason Yes! I’ve been accepted to UW and UVA, have an interview at Rush and am waiting to hear back from Duke, Penn, MUSC, and OHSU.
