2019 Fall Enrollment for Nursing (Hillsborough Community College)

Hi!

I wanted to start a board for the fall enrollments for 2019 for the Nursing Program! I have been on other boards for previous HCC entries and find it super helpful and encouraging to hear from others experience as well as overcoming challenges in the process. I plan to apply for the fall class for the nursing program at HCC! I take the TEAS this Monday, fingers crossed all goes well. I look forward to hearing from future classmates! Please, feel free to share and ask questions!

In regards to paying for nursing school . I was told to submit a fafsa for fall. Is that what you guys did ? Or how does financial work for nursing ?

@Staphanie my instructor was superb when I was taking my micro/lab. I guess she's the instructor you are talking about. The tests were online too. Anyway I am new here and will take TEAS on May 8! I will submit my application the same day so wish me all the best. I haven't study that much yet and I'm super nervous because my GPA is low. :( I am still hopeful to get in.

I prefer southshore because I live down the street from school.

@yrosabal yes you have to apply. Deadline for fall 2019 to spring 2020 is in June. I have fafsa and it helped me a lot!

@cdeimler my micro professor was superb! (MODERATOR EDIT OF NAME) is the first letter for her first name and (MODERATOR EDIT OF NAME - PLEASE DO NOT POST NAMES AND/OR INITIALS OF THOSE IN YOUR PROGRAM PER TOS) is the first letter for her last name. ? You will see her ratings on rate my professor online. She was my professor in micro/lab and it was a breeze! I took all exams online at my own convenience. I wish I knew she handles A&P too because the professors I had with A&Ps 1 and 2 were extremely difficult to deal with and I got low grades. I wish I just let my grades fail so I could retake them but it's too late. :(

What supplies would be good for lab and lecture Micro? I want to be as prepped as possible. I know I probably sound dumb but I just want this time around to work for me.

@cdeimler I didn't get any supplies. I did all the lab online. The lab was simulation of actual lab activity and it was really cool but I wish I took the lab in campus. It would be more fun!
