2019 Fall Enrollment for Nursing (Hillsborough Community College)

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Hi!

I wanted to start a board for the fall enrollments for 2019 for the Nursing Program! I have been on other boards for previous HCC entries and find it super helpful and encouraging to hear from others experience as well as overcoming challenges in the process. I plan to apply for the fall class for the nursing program at HCC! I take the TEAS this Monday, fingers crossed all goes well. I look forward to hearing from future classmates! Please, feel free to share and ask questions!

Are y’all studying anything over the summer to prepare for fall?

@Sammy223

I’m currently not taking classes during the summer. However, I have been on this website called registered nurse RN.com; there is a lot of valuable information on the website

@Sammy223

My understanding was that they offer day cohort and evening/weekend cohort.

Thank you for the information you shared

They finally updated my TEAS and prereqs to received!!

You can search for Fall 2019 classes; just put NUR for subject and leave the rest blank, that way you will get for all campuses and clinical as well.

Does anyone know how to apply for or get nursing scholarships based on academics alone? I have a pretty decent gpa but I never really get any scholarships only loans

If you're Native American and are a member of a state or federally recognized tribe the Indian Health Service along with the United States Public Health Service offers a couple of awesome scholarship. Full tuition paid for and you receive a pretty generous monthly stipend which is similar to that of what you would make as an Ensign in the military. The other scholarship is the same as the above, but you commission once you graduate, however you still get tuition paid for and also receive the monthly stipend. You will have a service commitment with one of the scholarships which is actually great because you have a guaranteed job once you graduate.

I know we're all super nervous. I'm trying to be positive in a mind full of anxiety and uneasiness. I just wanted to put this out there: For those of us with lower end GPA's, be positive. Many applicants probably do not even know that this group exists. There are probably at max, 20 people actively in this chat. A lot of those in this group have higher GPA's, but we have to keep in mind all the hundreds of others that do not have as high GPA's. 150 will be accepted! There is hope!! ?
