2019 Fall Enrollment for Nursing (Hillsborough Community College)

Long time listener first time poster!

I submitted my application in April sometime. Everything is showing received. Been following this forum for a while. Applied last fall and missed the mark by 0.02 GPA! ?

Reapplied with a 3.67 this time and a 73 on my TEAS.

Ive been checking my school email every day. Can’t wait to see someone post they’ve gotten a letter. I really hope we all make it!!

I have a doctor apt July 25th for all shots and immunizations. Think that’s too late? Also does anyone have info on CPR certification?

I feel like I should be doing something in the meantime. Do we need anything before orientation or will we just be given all info and deadlines then?

What was last years gpa cut off? From what I have read orientation will take place sometime in July 20ish. I believe we would need to start doing the remaining things like immunizations and such when we receive the decision letters and I am thinking a deadline will be included in that letter. As far as CPR cert HCC offers this class, I also need to do this.

HCC is offering a CPR course next week on the 18th. You have to register for it. Last I looked they had 7 openings left. My friend (who’s also following this post) and I are attending. Here’s the info:

Wether we get accepted or not, the goal is to get accepted at some point. So why not get started on some of these things. I have an appt with PCP as well to get all my immunizations in order.

My understanding is that they start to send more info regarding deadlines via email after they send out the acceptance letters.

Anyways, you guys should join us next Tuesday for the CPR course. ?

Not sure if I’m doing this “reply” thing right. Lol. Last fall the GPA cutoff was a 3.67. Which I now have. But had a 3.65 then.

Yes! I am off on Tuesdays I will be there! Gonna look into it right meow. If they have a spot we should meet up for sure. All about making friends and sharing whatever knowledge we can to help each other through this nerve-wrecking process! ?

You did lol. Wow that is high! Hopefully this round is not as competitive. I have a 3.77, prayers up for all of us to get in!

I already started on the titers and vaccines since the Hep B is a three shot series. I took CPR in Brandon a couple of weeks ago and didn't have to by the book. Good luck everyone.

Is anyone using financial aid for this fall program? Do we need to file now or once we’ve been accepted and have classes to show? My fasfa application won’t open on web advisor. Wondering if I missed a deadline.

I have financial aid, and I completed the processed last month. I know the deadline is in August, but I am not sure what date. You can email [email protected] for some information. I had a problem with my financial aid too, but I fixed it by communicating them through email.
