2019 Fall Enrollment for Nursing (Hillsborough Community College)

Hi!

I wanted to start a board for the fall enrollments for 2019 for the Nursing Program! I have been on other boards for previous HCC entries and find it super helpful and encouraging to hear from others experience as well as overcoming challenges in the process. I plan to apply for the fall class for the nursing program at HCC! I take the TEAS this Monday, fingers crossed all goes well. I look forward to hearing from future classmates! Please, feel free to share and ask questions!

@niquamayers Yes, my test score does show in the Test Summary. Thanks for pointing that out. I had no idea they documented that in there.

Im trying to plan ahead for my job as best as I can in the case that I do get accepted (trying to speak it into existence lol). So if anyone has heard anything about the hours of the nursing orientation, please let me know. ?

Mine still show under review and my date shows 6/16. I turned my app in on 5/13.

Also if anyone has an idea of what day the orientation might be I would appreciate it. I have a trip planned in July and hope it's not at the same time.

Question,

has any one else taken a higher math to over rule their college algebra grade? Under my progress toward degree it is still showing my program GPA as the one with the college algebra grade which is a C. I’m wondering why they didn’t factor in my A in pre calc yet.

@Shannenohh I’m unsure how the higher math works. I remember my A& P professor saying we could take regular calculus or trigonometry to replace a low math grade. Hope this helps.

Yes, I did take a higher math class to over rule the other grade. You have brought it to my attention that they are also using my grade from college algebra instead of my A from a higher math. I did not notice this before. I wonder why and what I should do.

My TEAS and prerequisites status has officially changed to “received”. It was still saying “under review” this morning. However, I just checked again and it updated to received. I submitted my application on 4/16.

I’m not sure either... hoping that they will update it themselves instead of that program. I emailed 2 days ago and no response. I think they are tired of answering nursing questions.

All my doc's are officially reflecting received with the exeption of my HCC transcripts, it's under waived since I took my classes at the campus. I didn't have to send it in with my packet. Anyone else?

@Christie_009 I have been checking every 5 min for the past week! Mine still shows under review. When did you submit your application? I'm thinking it goes in order of when they received our applications.

This may be a dumb question.. But how is everyone calculating their Prerequisite GPA? Or is there a place on WebAdvisor I can just look and find it?
