I did everything you can think of I spent over $3000 trying to take this exam with no job and a 7 month old what else can I do I hate this feeling I hate to doubt God but he let devil take power over him what else can i do!!! I am giving up maybe nursing is not for me maybe I just love people and not nursing as a career because this is too much for me to handle
Your comment as well as others are rude. This person is breaking down and looking for encouragement to keep going. You people are telling her to give up hope. Who are you???? Just because a person doesn't pass a test does not make you are dumb or incompetent. It can simply mean you're not great at test taking! Personal experience I've seen the top students fail nclex while the students that didn't do so hot in school passed first try. Smh
The post you quoted was not rude; it was honest. There's a difference. And who the poster is -- someone who cared enough to respond to the post. The person breaking down may be looking for encouragement to keep going, but what she NEEDS is an honest response. And that honest response is that if she cannot past the test after five tries, she's not competent to be a nurse. "Not good at taking tests" can explain one or two failures, but not five.
A lot of people commenting are just ignorant and out right rude!!! Being compassionate is a part of nursing and some of you just dont have it. You are the ones that shouldnt have received a license simply because you passed some test!! What i think they need to do is provide other test to see what type of person you are before they grant you your license. I promise half of you wouldn't be a nurse today!
Now THIS post is rude. Strangely, you're the one who was calling out another poster who was being polite but honest as being rude. Clearly you don't understand the meaning of the word "rude." Please inform yourself.
There is no license for being compassionate -- you either have it or you fake it. Being competent is something entirely different, and that IS required for being a nurse. It doesn't matter "what type of person you are," much as you obviously wish it did. If you're able to pass the licensing exam, you're able to become a nurse. (Legal issues aside for this argument.)
I'm not sure where you formed your ideas about what it is to be a nurse . . . but you need to do a bit more research.
513nurse, what happened to unsubscribing from this thread because no one agreed with you?
I don't think you understand what rude means. Rude =/= disagree. What is RUDE however, is your offensive language in this thread.
I really don't understand why you feel the need to resort to personally attacking people. Just walk away...
And I agree with u but the comments telling this girl that obviously she shouldn't be a nurse is rude. She's looking for help/advice and people are being mean to her. Tell her she should take a review course but don't tell her to give up and that she shouldn't be a nurse. If u weren't one to tell her that then my comment was not towards you
This reply is unprofessional and rude. Unprofessional in that use of "text" speak is rude and is banned by the TOS, and because accusations of "being mean to her" are childish rather than adult. Telling someone who has spent thousands of dollars on a test and still cannot pass that it may be time to reconsider her career choices is honest rather than mean. Perhaps you could educate yourself on those concepts. In the mean time, try arguing your case with facts and logic rather than name calling.
And ARE you a nurse? Because if you aren't -- and according to your posting history I don't think you are -- that's against the TOS as well.
Kick rocks and READ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I stated why they were being rude (the ones who were rude) where you been at? Like u said in your reply maybe she this and maybe she that and you're right MAYBE but none of us no what her issue is. WHAT I'M SAYING IS THEY SHOULD BE ENCOURAGING HER! NOT TELLING HER SHE SHOULDNT BE A NURSE WE DONT KNOW WHAT HER APPROACH WAS OR WHAT DISTRACTORS SHE HAD GOING ON IN HER LIFE! THE ONES TELL ING HER THAT ARE THE ONES NOT ACTING LIKE ADULTS! Get lost
Oh, my goodness. What childish behavior!
What in the TOS states that 'only encouraging posts are allowed'? Being honest is a virtue. Sometimes folks need to hear that it's OK, even preferable to give up. I'd love to be a rock star, but I can't sing, can't play and instrument and don't look good in videos. Would you encourage me to keep trying because its my DREAAAAAMMMMM?
I'm convinced this person is trolling now. Ignore the toddler throwing the temper tantrum people. I don't believe she is a nurse. I believe she is one of the ppl who keeps failing considering her previous posts.
I definitely agree she's probably not a nurse. As of 12/30/14 she still hadn't passed the NCLEX-PN after multiple attempts. She said was going to take it again 1/30/15 and her behavior here probably is her just (poorly) finding a way to vent her frustrations.
