Hi, My Priority Date is now Current (Aug 2008). I took the NCLEX last MAY 2007 and my CA File expired last MAY 2010(No extension done). My agency paid for the VisaScreen (2008) but i didn't comply the requirements, in short, No VS certificate was issued. Last Month (June 10, 2014), I reapplied for the CGFNS VisaScreen. I've send the request for Academic Records/Transcript & Request for Validation of License in the Philippines.
CGFNS VS is requiring a copy of my NCLEX results.
My questions are:
1. Will CA BRN honor my "Request for Validation of License/Registration/Diploma" & "Request of "TEST RESULT" of NCLEX even if my File has been "abandoned & destroyed"?
2. If CA BRN will dishonour my request, what are the necessary steps in order for them to send a copy of my Test Results to CGFNS?
3. With Regards to the Bank Draft, Is okay to issue a Total Payment of $70 in just one bank draft? (Copy of test Result: $10 + ICHP Visa Screen: $ 60 = $70) or a separate draft for each payment?
hey seminarista, your post is a good find, upon reading the initials of what you've published in this forum, just want to know how is it progressing? did cgfns already receive the verification letter of your nclex?
i am sorry i'm a newbie here, i just thought we have the same problem and concern. i took nclex last april 2009 and did nothing after that since there was a retrogression though i took ielts in 2010 and got all the score of 7. little did i know that at the end of the day attaining visa screen is so central and indispensable for my dreams of working in us. i am starting to apply for visa screen only by now
And most employers require for ielts to process the visa screen. Its better that you have the exams passed and other requirements, its kinda difficult now a days, specially for new filling like us.most agency will look for complete exams and excellent nursing skills(special areas) current bedside nursing.but its best that you will be filed now..

In order to process your request, you would need to submit $100 in a means of Money Order, Personal Check, or a Cashier's Check in United States currency and made payable to CA BOARD OF REGISTERED NURSING. Yes its 100. My agency assisted me with that, they paid the fees. I just signed the letter request to ca bon, mailed it to my agency then they did all the work, payments and everything. Its also true that it takes 6 weeks.
Hi, I have the same case as yours. However, i took the NCLEX last 2007, passed it, got my Visa Scree, wasn't able to renew it before it expired and now i'm currently submitting all the requirements again. Does the same procedure still apply for California BRN? i have been sending them email queries for months now but i have yet to receive a response. Do i use the address for the renewals unit? will i still be able to get a Visa Screen even if i havent been able to submit an SSN? you responses will be highly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

SSN is for a license. VISA Screen requires proof of passing the NCLEX. But know after 8 years without practice CABRN will require you to retake the NCLEX so you may not be able to get verification of passing the NCLEX as your file was destroyed after 3 years and CABRN may not release your results as its been nearly a decade.
As far as queries you would not ask renewal at CABRN as you were never issued a license and start all over again for visa screen since your last one expired
@JustBeachyNurse, thanks for this. What if my previous passing scores from NCLEX are still with CGFNS, do i still have to get a license verification/passing test scores from CBRN? or can i use the previous exam results? thanks!
