Expired CA BRN File, Needs Verification ot NCLEX result for CGFNS Visascreen

Published

Hi, My Priority Date is now Current (Aug 2008). I took the NCLEX last MAY 2007 and my CA File expired last MAY 2010(No extension done). My agency paid for the VisaScreen (2008) but i didn't comply the requirements, in short, No VS certificate was issued. Last Month (June 10, 2014), I reapplied for the CGFNS VisaScreen. I've send the request for Academic Records/Transcript & Request for Validation of License in the Philippines.

CGFNS VS is requiring a copy of my NCLEX results.

My questions are:

1. Will CA BRN honor my "Request for Validation of License/Registration/Diploma" & "Request of "TEST RESULT" of NCLEX even if my File has been "abandoned & destroyed"?

2. If CA BRN will dishonour my request, what are the necessary steps in order for them to send a copy of my Test Results to CGFNS?

3. With Regards to the Bank Draft, Is okay to issue a Total Payment of $70 in just one bank draft? (Copy of test Result: $10 + ICHP Visa Screen: $ 60 = $70) or a separate draft for each payment?

Please Help! Thanks in Advance

CA will still have a copy of your pass for NCLEX you just need to fill out the form on the BRN website and pay fee. BRN fee will be separate to CGFNS fee

Thank You Silverdragon102!

What do you mean when you say "you just need to fill out the form on the BRN website and pay fee"?

Kindly please send me the link, where i will have to fill out the form on the BRN website. I'm li'l bit lost.

Please Correct me if i'm wrong. Firstly, i will send the properly filled out CGFN's "Request for Validation of License/Registration/Diploma" to CA BRN.

Secondly, I will also enclose a $70 bank draft to CA BRN as payment for :

1."Copy of Test Results" = $10

2. "ICHP Visa Screen"= $60

Are there any other Fees to settle to CA BRN aside from this?

Finally, Do i need to enclose a Personal Letter Request, a Photocopy of my TOR, COLLEGE DIPLOMA, & NCLEX Passing Letter??? i read this in other blogs around year 2008.

Once again please clarify the form that i will fill up on the CA BRN website.

There used to be a form on the BRN for NCLEX verification and fee used to be $10 not sure what the $60 fee is for so could you provide a link? If you have sent TOR etc to CGFNS in the past then they should be able to reuse them if not then as per the Handbook for VSC you need to send the appropriate forms

Yes I did send them before the TOR, etc but since i neglected their notice to avail the "e-saved" everything was deleted or i should say it's Invalid now. My case now is a new Visascreen applicant again (with new Order Number) because i did availed the Re-process application way back in 2009. Definitely i will provide them again the Papers coming from school, photo, etc.

with regards to the $60 payment, it's in the miscellaneous fee here's the link: Board of Registered Nursing - Fees

Also, In July 2008, i received a notice letter from CA BRN stating: "WE HAVE RECEIVED A REQUEST FOR VALIDATION OF REGISTRATION/LICENSE FROM ICHP/CGFNS.A FEE OF $60 US FUNDS IS REQUIRED FOR COMPLETION OF THIS FORM. PLEASE MAKE REMITTANCE PAYABLE TO THE BOARD OF REGISTERED NURSING.

PLEASE NOTE: IF YOU ARE REQUESTING "TEST RESULTS TO BE SENT ALONG WITH YOUR VISA SCREEN VERIFICATION TO ICHP/CGFNS, YOU MUST ADD AND ADDITIONAL OF $10 WHEN SUBMITTING YOUR REQUEST."

I'm just really worried about the NCLEX passing verification since I graduated outside USA & I don't have SSN, the 3 year limit had lapsed.

I think i'm going to pay the price for Neglecting my Visascreen application before & not applying to other state that doesn't require SSN to issue a license card when my CA file was still valid.

I will try to send the request next month. I will update this thread what will happen. I hope CA BRN will send the verificAtion of my NCLEX to CGFNS VS. I need the VS Certificate badly.

To those who had/has the same case with me, please help!!! :)

Thanks Silver Dragon :)

If they sent you a letter with $70 as total fee then you will be OK sending just one payment of $70

Hi! I also have the same case. My employer already paid for my visa screen just recently & I need to pass all the necessary docs including the nclex result (I took it last Dec 2007 Ca-BON). Did you already request for a validation of registration?

hi guys, i tried to browse BRN CA website and I can't find the right form for NCLEX verification. Can you please post the link? or do I just need to send the "Request for Validation of License/Registration/Diploma" form from CGFNS to BRN-CA?

Thanks!

Hi. I have the same dilemma. I already emailed Ca BRN to confirm which are the correct forms / fees to complete, but I haven't received a response. Can you let me know pls what you did and which are the correct forms/fees? Appreciate your reply.

@ seminarista16

hi, exactly the same situation here. I passed the NCLEX last 2008, but unfortunately i didn't pursue the visascreen application because of the retrogression back then in the US.

im applying for a visa screen now...

i would just like to ask on what should i make the check payable to? is it simply Board of Registered Nursing ?

@Ebonna16. I paid $70 to BON last month. The CGFNS still didn't received my NCLEX results.. I tried to email BRN-licensing but still they haven't replied.

By mistake i emailed the renewals unit & they replied with this:

]I have forwarded your question to the Licensing Unit. The Renewals Unit is unable to assist with these requests. Please note that until you have a permanent California RN license, all questions should be addressed directly to the Licensing Unit at [email protected].

Board of Registered Nursing, Renewals

@arnstopable yep, it's Board of Registered Nursing $70... Update me if CGFNS will receive your NcLex results. It's almost 2 months and there's still no reply from both of them.
