Excelsior - TAKING TOO LONG :(

I applied and sent transcripts to Excelsior almost two months ago. I emailed and spoke to a representative and they told my that I would be notified when the process was complete. Does anyone know how long it normally takes?

I just sent mine in 3 weeks ago, & mine is already evaluated and they are mailing me the study guides. I don't know why yours is taking so long.

Mine also took approx 3 wks & transcripts from 2 different schools. Maybe there was a delay in the school sending out your transcript or maybe it got lost in the mail, stuff happens, followup with the sending school(s) first. good luck!

Mine took just under three weeks, but back then not so many people were applying to EC. Two months is certainly longer than usual.

I had applied to EC and was processed within 2 weeks. Now the current college I am in, took forever, so I called and it turns out that because my last name is different now from my maiden name, for which I had HS transcrips under, it got filed under UNKNOWN. Once they looked in that file, there it was, and was processed instantly. Call`em. Good Luck.

all you ahve to do is call their 800 number and they will look everythign up and let you know what is going on! they are very helpful!

Excelsior is a great program with many good points but their speed is not one of them.

You can start studying now for your exams, so that when you are accepted, you can start to take them right way. They are pretty quick to get your exams to PearsonVue after your schedule them, but everything else is a huge wait. CPNE is about a 6-8 month wait, graduation is another two months.

It can be very frustrating!

Yes, I paid 75 dollar fee right away and it took about two weeks for all my transcripts to get there and since then its been well over a month

i don't know about that! for me it was totally the opposite. ec received my last requirement from clep on 9/13/10 and they sent my letter of qualification to my bon 9/17/10 and today (9/23) i received my att and my graduation is on 10/15/10. i love ec!

my cpne date i got in one week i think after applying. my fcca i received quickly and was graded in two days. i guess i have been just been lucky but the key to all this is i always call ec for updates and they always answer my questions. i always follow-up. i guess that's what the op should do. keep calling them.

one more hurdle for me, the nclex. congrats vegastar rn by the way. :yeah: hoping to be like you in a couple of days. :D any tips for the nclex-rn? was it the same as nclex-pn? (i mean the experience).
