Excelsior Health Safety Exam

I'm getting ready to take the Health Safety exam. I've used Study Group 101 and am thinking about using the Nursing practice test website. Has anyone used that site before, they say they will help you pass but arent affiliated with Excelsior. Also helpful hints on which the best way to study for these exams? I feel very lost right now. I'd recommend purchase the official practice tests from Excelsior, then you know exactly what they are looking for. I checked out that website - none of the links work and there is one negative on ebay in 4 sales - that's 25% negative!

I used nursingexam.net practice exam and got an A on the exam thru Pearson Vue.

Plus it's only $50 compared to $75 at Excelsior! And there is no restrictions on how many times you take the practice exam. Twenty-five dollars saved is a lot of money to me!

Im trying to study for the Health safety exam also. The same thing happen to me thought I did well and I got an D. I was wondering what the study group 101 is. I see people mention it but Im not sure what it is or where to get it. I am a Paramedic studying to be a nurse.

Studygroup101 sells notes for EC exams: studygroup101.com. I thought their notes were pretty comprehensive.

took my excelsior exam today and did not pass, so disappointed

I thought I was killing it but i guess i marked the wrong ones....

how can i improve ?

I just took excelsior health safety exam and I can relate to what you are saying I got a C and thought I was doing great.. I use excelsior practice exam and study group 101. The exam was fairly easy don't understand why I got a C when my report scores were 80s and 70s don't understand how excelsior come up with their grades.

I have been reading through some old posts on Excelsior's site in the Community section. After seeing a few students state that they have repeated this exam more than twice, I began to wonder how an exam that seems so straight forward could be hard to pass. I am reading through SG101 right now and plan to register for the exam and the practice exams this weekend. I am beginning to wonder if SG101, practice exams, and textbook resources will be enough for me to pass this exam.

This kind of reminds me of those nursing school exams that the instructor reviewed with the class. It seemed like all the questions that the class answered poorly as a whole, were the questions where two (2) choices were possible answers but you had to apply critical thinking to figure out which of those two choices were the BEST answer. Or simply put, you had to select THEIR answer to the question. And that was just for the multiple choice questions, don't get me started on the S.A.T.A.
