Hmmmm interesting thread this is...I'm actually planning to take foundations on Jan 15th and reproduction following...I too am using study group101...my coworker was ambitious and took her exams every 2 weeks by reading te content guides and studying the practice exams...she passed too...I guess it's all about your study habits and ability to retain info. I want to be eligible for the fcca in February. ..so we shall see how it goes..plus they've gone up on the exam costs so that's another factor lol:clown:

Well....I used Studygroup 101 notes only ....**priceless investment** and i did not take the practice exam...read your questions slowly...dissect what it is they are asking...rule out the answers...most of the time 2 of the answers will sound ridiculous...and the other 2 will be close to the right answer...go w/ your gut instinct...dont second guess yourself...or overthink the question...always keep patient safety and the BEST therapeutic responses for the patient @ the forefront of your mind...you'll do awesome :stdnrsrck:

PARTY TIME :monkeydance: I passed Health Safety today...study your Nursing Assessment skills (ADPIE)...therapeutic responses to patient-nurse relations, pedi info, i had a question about (grains to mg conversion)but thats was my only med question...its do-able dont worry...just study...and plunge in!! lol :rckn:

Hey Fellow Professionals, Today i took the plunge and finally took that darned Health Safety after much procrastination (re-scheduled 4 times...sad i know)...I went in saying "What have i got to lose?....Oh yea...Money..haha" :Dand did it...now i must admit some of those questions were kind of tricky:confused: but i pulled through it and passed! I was like "Frekkin yea i CAN do this...Bring it on Excelsior...Bring...It...On!!!!!" :cool:Okay im done ...have a dandy day one and All......lol

My charge nurse is an EC grad 2011...and she tested at Lubbock,TX...she had nothing but high praises for that facility:yeah:...it comes well recommended...she said the nurses there really push for you to pass...so when i get to the end of this journey that is the spot im choosing...just my 2 cents

Hello OP, we are in the same boat...im also studying for the Health Safety portion...my exam is November 8th @ 10am..(after rescheduling 3 times...out of fear..lol...) i am using the StudyGroup101 notes...bc they are very thorough..and those EC books are very expensive...Ive heard of people only using SG and passing w/ high grades on every exam...so for now this is my approach..i do believe i will invest in that Saunders books though...it definetly was a worthy investment when i was in LPN school...God speed w/ your studying...((Future RN)) Gawd help me!! I would like to join in this, I most definetly need a group to be accountable to...i take my first exam this friday (Health Safety) 10-21-11 ...im nervous about it but i have faith to believe i can do this...im sooooo ready to be an Registerd Nurse and move on in my career that i can just taste it :hpygrp::hpygrp: LETS GET IT ONNNNNN! wow thats awesome! So im on Day 3 of studying for Safety...can you give me any pointers on what was on that exam..i know everyone is not the same...but i would kind of like to have a ballpark of what to expect...im so happy ive found this site...i paid to take my test...i want to take it next weekend :)

Just starting out...think i will start w/ Transitions first...my goal is to test every 2-3 weeks (more if needed)...congrats to all...Hope to be RN in 2012 wooohooo
