Ok so i posted a thread on this earlier this morning...maybe the title of the thread threw a few off...lol...there are a few editions on this book...2nd and 3rd then theres some with JUST questions...anyone who has taken the NCLEX-RN and passed...did u find this book helpful?...any info would be greatly appreciated...ive read through some of the threads and just like any other review book..some say its good others say is worthless...im using saunders but like i posted in the previous thread saunders tend to dish out more info than needed...and it can get a bit daunting...i dont know if some people are like me but i tend to do ALOT better when i need to know what i need to know without the fluff that can throw you in a loop...any suggestions?...so far im planning to review Saunders on weak areas, i have La Charity and a good friend lent me the Kaplan Q-bank...i also plan to attack nclex 3500...i cant get my hands on nclex 4000..its funny when i took my LPN four years ago i passed first try with the minimum of 85 and all i did was saunders but...i dont know...sometimes i think my brainpower was better when i was younger...lol...any info would be greatly appreciated...

It is the information that you need to know, not the manner in which you learn that information, that you need to worry about. Some will find one resource helpful, while another person finds it worthless. More than likely the problem is with how the resource was used, not the resource itself. In other words, any way you look at it, you have to study.

ExamCram book is good with lots of good NCLEX type knowledge but I would stay away from the CD with the questions. I found it filled with errors, unless they have corrected it, but I also found them to have strange rationales that don't match the majority of other books and don't reflect the NCLEX well. Good luck.

I agree with Marcos here, and think you deserve an answer, since you asked for an opinion:

The book is good, but don't waste your time or the space on your computer with the Exam Force CD that comes with it. It's more frustrating than helpful...

@ marcos...as a matter of of fact it was one of your comments i ran across that stopped me in my tracts when i read about the book LOL!...i said to myself "marcos nnooooo!" I bought Exam Cram, but I think I opened it once, while at Borders, before I bought it. LOL. I did my typical thing: bought too many study resources! It looked like a good text, but I already had Saunders and NCLEX 3500 at home, so after I passed the NCLEX I mailed my copy of Exam Cram off to a friend.

I found a copy at the library. Don't buy the book.

I bought the Exam Cram book with all the questions and it really came in handy. It is much more portable than the other books so I took it everywhere with me. It fit nicely in my bag or pocketbook. I did questions in the car, on the train and waiting on line at amusement parks. Just my two cents. Metfan

I used Saunders and that was it....
