From looking at the classes starting in fall, I'm guessing that Evidence Based nursing is replacing Research? Anyone have any idea if stats is still required prior to taking this, as it was with Research?
I just happened to stumble across it a few days ago, it's not in the Ohio U folder here. Had to do a search to find it again:https://allnurses.com/general-nursing-student/accuse-of-plagiarism-786555.html
very interesting... and an easy mistake to make. I asked several people to proof read my papers several times in 4510. I'm sure they do have a software program that scans papers for uncited text.

Thank you for sharing the link. It is indeed very interesting, unfortunate, and yet plagiarism. Which brings me to ask a question: Is it plagiarism if someone uses their own old papers or portions of it? Any ideas about that?

I googled and found several different opinions. Here is one from the Information Literacy Blog
: To Cite or Not to Cite: It's Never a Question
" ....It's your work, you own it, so it's not plagiarism, right?
Right.
It's not plagiarism.
But what it is is unethical. Plagiarism is obviously unethical, but so is recycling your own work."
Does anyone know what OU's Rules say about it?

Thanks for the info. I know I could have googled it myself but I just used up my brain doing assignments all day lol I looked into the code of conduct policy at OU and it did not state anything about using previous work, as far as I could tell at least. I think it all depends on the situation.
Do you remember all the "perfect scores" on the midterm and the final? Cut and paste from someone. I can see a couple of people, maybe scoring highly but not very many. It was enough to kill a curve.
Oh yeah, big time cheatin' going on somehow. That was too weird. People can be so foolish.
