4550- Evidence Based Nursing

From looking at the classes starting in fall, I'm guessing that Evidence Based nursing is replacing Research? Anyone have any idea if stats is still required prior to taking this, as it was with Research?

This is what I gleaned from the info received via email from my TA. I wrote to her in tears last night and got a nice reply... today after a long nite of misery. I wish ALL of you would email your TAs. I sent a CC to the professor as well. If EVERYONE does this they will have no choice but to listen. Please, let this end with at least an 80% .....puullleeeeezzzzz!!!

Just checked BB again and the DB posting has now been clarified and matches the info that cincinursemary posted. Yay, so we can now all be on the same page with this assignment! Our TA also said that most students do better in the last 3 weeks of this class. I hope those are encouraging words for anyone who has been having problems. It's supposed to get easier!;)

Just checked BB again and the DB posting has now been clarified and matches the info that cincinursemary posted. Yay, so we can now all be on the same page with this assignment! Our TA also said that most students do better in the last 3 weeks of this class. I hope those are encouraging words for anyone who has been having problems. It's supposed to get easier!;)

Thank heavens they did away with that silly meta-whatta assignment!!! Hang on peeps!!!

I have not looked a the homework for week three as of yet. But, want to say thanks to all of you on this thread for clarifying the DB assignment as well as the other useful information that has been supplied here. After reading through the thread hope many of you will feel better now after your efforts! Thanks again.

My section has updated info now also! Yeah!!! Now I just have to get my tush in gear and finish up this reading. Have a sick kitten - trying to feed her with an eye-dropper every couple of hours. Prayers are needed ... she is so sweet but so very weak. - My stray momma cat is getting FIXED as soon as these babies are weaned. She only has 2 at a time but 4 babies is ENOUGH!! Going to have to find homes for these 2 - hopefully the little girl will pull through.

Well I have read the chapters and the other readings but nothing else. I am so not motivated to do this. It's funny how as I sit to do the homework I keep thinking of things that need to be cleaned...light shades need to be washed...cabinets should be scrubbed down...all the china needs to be washed. Geez....I can't get motivated. But as previously stated Thank You to all who have emailed the TA's for clarification on the assignments.

OK now I'm officially Freaking confused. I email TA this morning to double check the requirements b/c the announcement didn't reflect info about the meta analysis part. She emailed me back at 11:30 this mroning and said the second part should be a continuation of the post and to be sure to use intext citations and 2 references ( not the assigned article as one)

I am having palpatations about this. I emailed the director of nursing research at my hospital asking her for help with this DB assignment. Now I don't know what to do...

If anyone is in section 029 can you PM me????

According to what is posted in my section - this is directly from the professor. No meta-analysis required.
