From looking at the classes starting in fall, I'm guessing that Evidence Based nursing is replacing Research? Anyone have any idea if stats is still required prior to taking this, as it was with Research?
Okay, so I'm paranoid about the DB this week because our section likely won't have grades before Friday. Are you guys literally listing the strengths and weaknesses as a list the writing the paragraph? The other confusion lies in the fact that the critique has already been completed on this study so are we just rehashing in our words? I don't get the point.
In my section, they are asking for 3 different things to be included in the DB posting. I am just going to do everything in paragraph format. I saw that the critique was already done for the study and wondered what the point was too.
I toy around with this too. At this point what I need more than anything is working experience. After I get a couple years under my belt I will then again consider going to grad school. I really do love to learn but at this point I am definitely getting burnt out with school.
I'm glad someone else goes back and forth too about grad school lol. I can't even make up my mind what to do in grad school if I do go.
Wow...finally got a look at that Ethnology video many of you refered to. That was very strange indeed. Reminded me of the Scientology video we watched for another nursing class...cannot remember which one now. I thought that was very bizarre as well.
I wonder if the powers that be just look up the title of the video and think it is good to go. So odd in the randomness of the choices.

Do you interpret the paragraph for the DB to be a general opinion re: qualitative research or is it specific to the case study? I wrote the whole darn thing and now I think I'm off base and too general. I got the 'ol "refer to the announcements" when I asked another question so now I'm gun shy, lol! What's your take? Man, this sucks.
I found it confusing what they wanted us to address. I just started typing about the weakness and strengths and my question was formulated from unanswered questions in the weaknesses I perceived in the study.
I think if you go general that works too! I interpreted that you could go either way. I think if you have a well written point of view it doesn't matter if it is general or not.
I submitted mine. Sick of thinking/looking at it. I just want to move on already. Usually I wait for someone else to post first. Just tired of school I think...I over think this stuff and make myself crazy. No extra points for early submission but at least I feel like I can cross another thing off the list.

How long was your post? mine seems too long. I have 2 long paragraphs about the strengths and weaknesses and a long paragraph with the qualitative research thing.
