4550- Evidence Based Nursing

From looking at the classes starting in fall, I'm guessing that Evidence Based nursing is replacing Research? Anyone have any idea if stats is still required prior to taking this, as it was with Research?

I am trying to submit literature search assignment, and can't figure out how to submit it!! Any help would be appreciated.

You have to save it in a word document and attach it. Hope this helps.

Just finished the quiz......whew........no fun at all!! I used every bit of time allowed. I missed 3 but I swear one of the answers I gave was right. Of course you cannot go back and see what you answered wrong. BTW.....IMO 30 questions is more like a test. 10 would be more appropriate for a quiz......whatever!!

Maybe I will have something positive to say about this course by the time we are finished. 4 more weeks......:bugeyes:

We don't have anything yet. I want to ask a question about the assignment for week 2 but the question/answer board isn't open yet. And I just NOW got msg that the week 1 requirements are extended until Tues...go figure.

Yeah, I read that and said..... huh??? Not a clue. If anyone finds out, please post.

That's odd, I was able to see which answers I got wrong. You did better than me; I passed but unhappy about how poorly I did. I just can't seem to get into this class, it's so boring.

Those so called "quizzes" account for 60% of the course grade. Huge bummer. Just noticed our TA states grades will be posted 72 hrs after due date. Since the due date is now Tue this would mean grades will be posted by the end of the day Fri. So in other words we may have no idea what to improve on prior to needing to post to the DB. Isn't that helpful??? I would love to have a test 2 study guide as we have not received one yet. Can someone please PM me??? Thank you!

Just saw an email from TA. They want us to List 3 strengths and 3 weakness of the study and write a paragraph about quantitiative research. Seems easy enough. Haven't read the study yet.

I wish all TAs would get on the same page. My section has not received a study guide, no info about this weeks DB posting, no info about grading. If it wasn't for this place I would not know everything I need to know for this class. Thank you everyone for posting the info you get from your TAs. Can someone pm me week 2's study guide, please.

I looked through the rest of the modules this morning and I think this class is totally doable. It does not seem like there is a lot of work.

I have posted this query to my TA. In the directions it also states to answer in one paragraph??? The discussion is on qualititative research. Anyhow, it is presented as 2 different assignments but with one DB. What the heck??? This is so confusing.

For me it's those darn tests and the value placed on them. Plus I HATE BB...but, we're into week two which is a bonus!
