4550- Evidence Based Nursing

Nursing Students Ohio University

Published

From looking at the classes starting in fall, I'm guessing that Evidence Based nursing is replacing Research? Anyone have any idea if stats is still required prior to taking this, as it was with Research?

Does anyone have a study guide from your TA for week #2? If so, do you mind sharing with me? Can you please send to my e-mail [email protected]

Thanks a lot :)

Are we having fun yet?:clown: Yes I am being sarcastic. We can get through this, I know we can. Okay, done being a cheerleader for now. I might be b*tching soon enough!

I can send you what we were given. It is very vague but a little of something is better than nothing. So far I have only had one nursing class where the TA lacked communication and when she did communicate all she did was direct you back to the announcements. It was terrible.
Sounds just like the one I have now! Lol

If it is the one then about the only time she will communicate is when she talks about herself obtaining her Doctorate. She expected us to be at her level which made the course very difficult. Hang in there as this too shall pass. :)

We don't have anything yet. I want to ask a question about the assignment for week 2 but the question/answer board isn't open yet. And I just NOW got msg that the week 1 requirements are extended until Tues...go figure.

Still no announcement for my section about week one extension to Tuesday...shocker. And, I'm no longer seeing the intro/announcement fom our TA...that one has disappeared. I'm really starting to think we're part of an experiment...how well do nursing students do in class with limited/no interaction from instructor or TA, lol!

My group did get the announcement about the delay. I just took the quiz and happy with the result. Still need to do two scholarly replies on DB.

Well I hope its a qualitative study because I would love to give them a detailed student perspective, lol!

Ohiomom--I am sure that you and I have the same TA. I tried to email her earlier today and it was kicked back to me so I emailed my frustrations and concerns to the professor. During all my classes through OU I have never had any complaints about a class until now. I can't believe we are not getting any support at all. I would like to post a discussion on our board that says "TA--are you out there", but of course that wouldn't be professional.

The only saving grace is that we do get to put our thoughts out there when we complete the evaluation.

I can not wait to do this class evaluation. Ohiomom- email me at m[email protected]. This site would not allow me to respond to your pm since I am new on here.
