From looking at the classes starting in fall, I'm guessing that Evidence Based nursing is replacing Research? Anyone have any idea if stats is still required prior to taking this, as it was with Research?
I have a fairly short paragraph listing the +/- of the study followed by a longer paragraph about qual. research. I did not go into detail when I listed the +/-... it's plain Jane but done. I used 3 references. Done...quiz Thur then move on to Mod 3.
Ummm.......Don't forget your two responses.....
I can see that there is a general consensus of confusion on the terms of week 2 discussion board! I guess what I'm taking from it is that since there is already a critique that is on the following pages of the study we are to list what was found to be positive and negative. Then we are also to write something about what we learned from critiquing a qual study. Listing a question and proposed answer to something we have about qual studies. If I am way off base here any insight would be greatly appreciated from my fellow classmates. The prerecorded refer to answer is getting old an useless. Thanks folks.... 3.5 more weeks and we can all put this behind us.
Are we to list 2 citations with references or 4? Their instructions are confusing. Your clarification is much appreciated. Gee.....this is so much fun!!:w00t:
I took it that you need at least 2 in text citations ( which means you need the references that go with it) If someone had 2 in text citations from the same source,(like the textbook) they would still would need another reference from a peer review source. Bottom line, 2 in text citations, 2 no more than 3 references.
Good news for us this week...check the announcement!
Thanks for the heads up. Just checked my grades. Missing 1/2 point on DB post for not having hanging indent on one of my references. Received all the points for literature search.
Now with grades in...this class seems fairly easy workload wise. Just not fond of the nitpicking with APA, but, what else is new.

My post was one long paragraph 13 sentences long, with two references. This class is a bit esoteric for me...just like nursing theory. Not fond of the subject matter.
