4550- Evidence Based Nursing

[Simply Complicated]

From looking at the classes starting in fall, I'm guessing that Evidence Based nursing is replacing Research? Anyone have any idea if stats is still required prior to taking this, as it was with Research?

In my opinion test number 2 is much harder than test number 1. I missed 8 this time...compared to 4 last time.

Scaring me! I struggled with several of the questions on "quiz" 1. So not looking forward to 2.

Was the study guide any help?

Yes...but, ultimately you have to be able to APPLY the information in the chapters and study guide.

I haven't taken the quiz yet myself, but I wouldn't be surprised if by "applying" the information they will give us a scenario and we determine which qualitative method would be the best? I've really spent quite a bit of time reading and taking notes on the methods of qualitative research...

I took it that you need at least 2 in text citations ( which means you need the references that go with it) If someone had 2 in text citations from the same source,(like the textbook) they would still would need another reference from a peer review source. Bottom line, 2 in text citations, 2 no more than 3 references.

OMG- I can't believe I lucked out. TA didn't catch my mistake on the citation/reference error on the Lit Search assignment . I lost .25 on an APA error ( might have been a formatting thing), but I'm gonna keep my mouth shut and take my good fortune!
