Ok :lol2:

Hi stpauligirl, I just noticed you post about ethics. I am currently in the Intro Ethics class and just started the winter quarter here. The class is based on your own personal opinion, values, etc, with writing a few short essays and journal entries. Not too bad so far. Goodluch with yours!

This isn't even offered at my school is it a requirement? Is it medical Ethics or just general "ethics"? Sounds interesting.

It's a requirement for our ADN program but not for the BSN at the University.

It is a Philosophy class and is called Ethics. The number is 2306. You may have somthing similar as part of your actual nursing curriculum.

Thanks for your info....our class is supposed to be writing intense....I am looking forward to the break from science classes.

Intro to Ethics is required for my university's BSN program. I'll be taking it in the Spring too. I just spoke with a fellow student of mine who is finishing Ethics this semester with the same professor I'm due to have and she said that this professor does not focus on writing at all, but rather readings. In fact there's no writing at all... 5 tests, lowest grade thrown out and LOTS of readings. So, I definitely think it depends on who's teaching the course as to what the work load focus is on.

I am always amazed at how different the requirements are in different parts of the country, or even within the same State. I am glad that I dont have to move around anymore since it was quite hard to get a college degree assembled :D

Good luck with your classes and Happy Holidays.

I just finished up my ethics class and it wasn't hard at all. Just my professor was a lot more work than others....it was a lot of reading at first but then it got less. It is definitely not difficult. Anyways if you have any questions just post them

Thank you for offering help. Isn't it the truth that sometimes half the battle is what kind of professor teaches the class? I had an American Literature teacher in the past who I found to be difficult. I had a great teacher for part I and that this guy for part II. He was horrible :stone

Good luck with everything and Happy Holidays

I SOOOO know how that goes! My husband is military. We just PCSd to a new location this past summer and I'm taking on huge semester loads so I can just finally get my education out of the way. Piecing it together isn't doing it for me anymore... this school has these requirements, that school has those.... It sucks having to take and re-take different courses to meet new schools' requirements. I just have this last semester of pre-reqs and as long as I matriculate into a BSN program by Spring 2008, I should be able to FINALLY finish while here! Yay!
