Because it has been almost a year. I have a student who keeps a bottle in my office, with doctor's orders, for ADHD. I came in last Friday to find it broken on my desk, smelling to high heaven. Cleaned my desk multiple times and the smell still lingers. I am gagging here. Funny side note, the doctor's order stated "the parents seem to think this helps, so pt may apply as needed". That is one nice doctor.
I do not feel more focused, it's smells like patchouli oil, which I hate! My office smells like a head shop. He applies it to his neck, really needs prescribed meds, but no, let's frustrate the kid and make him stink.
Look at yourself in the mirror. I bet you LOOK more focused and "far out."
We're not supposed to allow anything that' is not FDA cleared here. That being said, I just decided to end the argument I was having with a parent over her child getting a lactose intolerance supplement. I figured if she could get the doc to write for it, then i'd just give it. his was after she started sneaking the tablets into her child's lunchbox. Silly mother, doesn't she know that the kids always get found out because they make a big show of taking something.
Lactose intolerance is a real condition! More than 1 or 2 tablets should be used with a meal containing any dairy product. I've lived with this for 15 years. Give the kid the stuff to save her the pain and discomfort of gas/diarrhea.

Nobody is denying that it's a real condition, we're just saying that parents shouldn't attempt to sneak medications into their children's lunch boxes to circumvent the rules. No licensed nurse can just "give the the kid the stuff" without a physician's order

My sister-in-law, does not look/act like a hippie (and there is nothing wrong with hippies and or patchouli) loves patchouli. I gave her a patchouli scented deodorant, don't know if she wears it or if she has better focus.
