Emory Master of Nursing (MN) 2021

The Fall 2021 application for Emory opens tomorrow so I wanted to create this thread for people to connect, share experiences with the application process, and stats (if you choose to). Good luck everyone!!

hi! They said that merit based scholarships are currently under review and we will know by December. Do we know when FAFSA is due by? Im still waiting on a couple of schools so Im not sure how to approach that. Congrats!

Hi Kesha,

The FASFA for 2020/21 Academic Year is due by June 30, 2021. So there still is time. If you have applied to other schools, just add all of those schools to the FASFA. I applied to Vanderbilt as well so I have Emory and Vanderbilt on the FASFA app.

Here's the thing, I am not sure if the other schools will be able to see each school on the FASFA.  I will say that for some schools, in order to be considered for scholarships, they rely on your info from FASFA.

Hi all!

For those who applied for an earlier deadline: what time did y'all notice the portal change on the notification date? I've been so anxious for this upcoming Friday.

Hi Anthronerd,

I read that it was after 5pm....but let's hear from others as to the times they received the notification.

By the way, are all of your items now checked off? Mine just got checked off yesterday.

Well going back on this thread people started seeing the portal change at like 11. Mine changed around noon. Good Luck! Hopefully they're early like that again.

I received notification around 7pm. I had no idea they were making decisions that early so I wasn’t checking the portal. When I did look at it after I received the email it was changed to accepted. Good luck!

Always always apply for FAFSA right when it comes out and add your potential schools. Aid and scholarships go out early so you want to be on that initial list. Waiting until the last minute means there may not be a lot of aid left.

Yeah, luckily for this thread people started sharing their updates so I checked. Also, I never received an email. Not even to this day.

That’s interesting, did you check your spam folders? The email said I had an update so I checked, that’s when I saw the accepted letter with balloons. It was exciting more so because I thought they just needed more paperwork. LOL

Nope, nothing in the spam. Once I saw people posting here, I started refreshing OPUS and when it finally changed to Accepted then I went to the application and saw the letter and balloons. LOL! Weird. I know
