Emory Fall 2015 Applicants

So the application for the Fall 2015 BSN traditional/ ABSN/MSN has just opened up. I thought it may be nice to start a thread so any of the applicants can check on each others processes and get to know one another..

Yeah I heard there was some racism against African Americans unfortunately. But I mean in the end, there is racism everywhere in the United States. I've even experienced racism here in California. I think it's just how you respond to it and if you don't let it affect you too much I think it should bee okay hopefully. And Atlanta is a big city so hopefully it's not too much and pretty accepting. Yes @ umichfnp I am deciding between Columbia and Emory! I got waitlisted for UPenn though so there may be a chance there.

not sure if you went to emory's admitted student day, but if you (or anyone else!) have any questions feel free to pm me! i'm from philly area (in the bay now) and i visited penn's nursing school and msn open house a few months ago, so i might be able to provide some information on that as well.

Hey has anyone from ABSN only heard?

So I'm an ABSN only applicant. I received a letter of admission in the mail. I can pay my deposit online, but the admitted student link is BSN on my hard copy acceptance letter and I'm in graduating class of 2017 (seems reasonable since it's fall 2015, spring, summer until fall 2016). I clearly indicated on my application that I was applying to the ABSN only program.

It also seems that the only difference is that ABSN students do not have a summer break.

I applied before the priority deadline late in December.

on my opus i can pay my deposit, but I can't see a decision letter. Can anyone out there clarify? Thanks!

Apparently my acceptance letter can yesterday, but I didn't see it until today!! So excited I will be attending Emory second degree program:yes:

I have not received a letter yet, but I do see a link for an admissions deposit and health insurance forms (neither of which were present before on OPUS).

I will be losing my mind until tomorrow at 8 when I call their office... /:

@charming_kitty No, but I called the admission office. They said to just wait for my acceptance packet. Did you make a $250 deposit? I would just call and clarify because they have a weird system going on. I am from Alanta. :) If you have any questions on where to live. Feel free to ask.
