Emory Fall 2015 Applicants

Published

So the application for the Fall 2015 BSN traditional/ ABSN/MSN has just opened up. I thought it may be nice to start a thread so any of the applicants can check on each others processes and get to know one another..

@rosebugs by traditional you mean BSN for 2nd degree? if so.. YES! :)

@kongfu_brucelee Does this apply to ABSN as well? If I am able to pay the 250, does this mean I am accepted?

@kongfu_brucelee I am a transfer student and taking my core at my current school and want to go into the BSN program next fall (junior year). Decisions are suppose to be released on March 1st and I noticed that my opus has the link to pay the $250 deposit. I would think if I am able to pay a deposit that technically means I am in?

@ skaiser3. The ABSN and 2nd degree BSN, as KP told me, it is exactly the same coursework. ABSN only goes fall, spring, summer, fall, but 2nd degree BSN goes fall spring fall spring with a summer break in between. Hope this helps. The ABSN+MSN students start summer instead of fall.

@kungfu_brucelee and @rosebug Then there is also the BSN freshman, transfer options. These are options for students who do not have a prior bachelor's degree, as I understand, but I do not know if we have classes with them.

@charming_kitty so do you think since the deposit is showing up, that includes me? haha opus has got me going absolutely crazy

@rosebug. I think so. BSN programs are processed by the same admissions officer, I believe.

I'm actually a little worried about the mixup of 2nd degree BSN and ABSN. Can't wait to call up the office tomorrow!

@skaiser3... My opus just says bachelor of science in nursing. Is that the same for you?

@charming_kitty definitely keep us posted!!! :)

@rosebugs On OPUS do you see your new email for emory?? Then that means you are accepted. no need to be worried.. lol you should be celebrating :)

@kongfu_brucelee, how do I see an Emory email address?

@charming_kitty Yes... mine says just BSN... /:

Hi! So I called and yes, I'm in for ABSN~~~ I spoke to the associate dean who was super friendly. Emory's a great school and it's making me lean towards Emory, but I've yet to decide which school to attend.
