  1. Mpeters0701 LOL! Well that makes me feel a little better I think... I haven't received a credit check and my application still says "Under Review".
  2. Anyone from GA hear anything yet?
  3. Invitale, I am still able to log in. This is the link: https://programportal.hrsa.gov/extranet/application/ncsp/login.seam Hope it works for you!
  4. I have not heard anything yet. )): I'm located in Atlanta.
  5. Yeah it's an amazing school with a lot of educational opportunities .....but it has an expensive price tag...$$$$
  6. I will also be working part-time during school, but my salary won't even touch my $21,200/semester tuition (my school is also private). I feel for those who are at private institutions! It's stressful trying to secure funds... ):
  7. Hi everyone! So glad this thread was started, too. I found out about this scholarship when I got in to Emory's ABSN program, so all of this is fairly new to me. I'll be starting at Emory in the fall (it's a 15 month program)! 1. GPA: 3.67 (nursing pre-reqs only) 2. Previous degree in Civil Engineering from Georgia Tech 3. Extensive work in student orientation during my undergrad career and ~100 hours of elementary tutoring at a school in downtown Atlanta 4. Currently working as a PCT at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta 5. EFC 000000 I am not sure what my chances are, but this scholarship would help me out tremendously as Emory is a private institution, and I would LOVE to get out of Georgia for awhile and work in an underserved community (hopefully at another children's hospital in Texas). Just a quick question...is anyone's application currently "Under Review"? And good luck to all of you!!
  8. Congrats @charming_kitty !! @Lohems : Hi! From what I can tell your stats seem great! Emory looks at everything on your application "holistically", but they take the rec letters and essay very seriously. You'll want to make sure you have recommenders who can truly attest to your academic ability and work ethic. All of your activities and volunteer work are great additions to your application, too! I applied to the ABSN program and got in for fall 2015 (I am not 100% sure if I'm attending yet though). Here are my stats (excluding my GPA....just know it's LOW from my undergrad degree ): Degree: Civil Engineering TEAS Score (not required): 92.7 Pre-req GPA: 3.68 (currently in 1152 lecture) I am also a CNA and I work as a tech at CHOA. I did a lot of new student orientation work in my undergrad and other miscellaneous activities as well (sorority involvement, elementary tutoring, etc). Getting your CNA and working is the absolute best thing you can do (trust me I KNOW!). It shows you're serious about your career path and the experience you gain will help you out tremendously. Hope this helps!!
  9. @charming_kitty Send me your email through a PM! I cannot utilize the messaging system until I have had a certain number of quality posts!!
  10. Congrats @charming_kitty !!! I too called just now and I have also been accepted to the ABSN program!!!
  11. @charming_kitty Yes... mine says just BSN... /:
  12. @kongfu_brucelee Does this apply to ABSN as well? If I am able to pay the 250, does this mean I am accepted?
  13. @charming_kitty I hope you get everything figured out! And I hope I get a letter for the ABSN... :)
  14. @Rosebugs That's exactly what's been going through my head since last night!!!
