So the application for the Fall 2015 BSN traditional/ ABSN/MSN has just opened up. I thought it may be nice to start a thread so any of the applicants can check on each others processes and get to know one another..

Again, heres the link to the FB group that was started earlier.
Hey if anyone who is currently in the ABSN/MSN program that is reading this would you mind if I ask you questions about the program?
Also, if anyone who knows people in the program or alumni from the program can you let me know! I'm trying to ask people about their experience before I decide which school I should go to.
i just submitted 2015-2016 fafsa a few days ago and got an email from emory saying i had 2014-2015 financial aid info missing (fafsa, idoc, css profile). did anyone else get this? are we supposed to fill out this info because the program begins in may 2014?
and regarding the worry about racism, i would agree with zoikers and charming_kitty. i've been to atlanta a couple times (once a couple years ago and stayed in the downtown-y/tourist areas, and for accepted student day), and i don't think i noticed anything as an asian. i didn't see many asians while exploring, but i know there's a decent asian population in/around atlanta. one of my uber drives confirmed this lol. he was telling me about how there's still some segregation among white/blacks though.. something about how the public transportation has been (and still is being) built.
@zoikers, i might be going to columbia's visiting day also! i'm deciding between columbia and emory. is it the same case for you?
Yeah I heard there was some racism against African Americans unfortunately. But I mean in the end, there is racism everywhere in the United States. I've even experienced racism here in California. I think it's just how you respond to it and if you don't let it affect you too much I think it should bee okay hopefully. And Atlanta is a big city so hopefully it's not too much and pretty accepting. Yes @ umichfnp I am deciding between Columbia and Emory! I got waitlisted for UPenn though so there may be a chance there.

@zoiKers. i am asian too, i think the south is generally more prejudiced against African-Americans because it's so "traditional". Asian-Americans are hardworking and many are successful. after all, many Asian Americans are doctors and nurses, so hopefully they'll give us respect.
i'm not keeping my hopes up too high; they might have even lost my fall 2014 grades sigh...
