So the application for the Fall 2015 BSN traditional/ ABSN/MSN has just opened up. I thought it may be nice to start a thread so any of the applicants can check on each others processes and get to know one another..
The interview was short and sweet, just a few questions about why I want to be an NNP, what I want form the program, etc. Then we went to look a the simulation lab, financial aid, and admissions for me to ask them questions as well. It was really much less intimidating than I thought it would be. Very laid back and quick. A very good experience!
@lumen4 - i do know it's not mandatory, but these programs are a big time/$ commitment.. there's only so much information available online and in the provided resources. i like admitted student days because they're a great way to get a feel for the campus life and environment, vibe and personalities of peers, etc. (maybe i put too much emphasis on these factors, idk.) the traveling and planning process would be much easier if information was given ahead of time, that's all!
@ellelevy - i haven't enrolled yet for my course, but i'm in a similar situation as you. i'm cutting it really close! i was hoping to wait until i hear back from other schools, but i don't think that's a good idea anymore..
You are entering as an MSN student, right? I think your Admitted Students Day is April 14, but I don't know the schedule. ABSN+MSN students have their day on February 6th (I think we've got that straight now! ). I wasn't planning on bringing my partner... they didn't advise one way or the other, though! I bet you will get lots more info in the coming weeks, now that you are officially in!!

Oh my goodness I knoow!!! I guess its just the way their program works. I don't know if its because they notify you earlier about decisions and also consequently start earlier? Who knows?
