Emory Fall 2015 Applicants

Published

So the application for the Fall 2015 BSN traditional/ ABSN/MSN has just opened up. I thought it may be nice to start a thread so any of the applicants can check on each others processes and get to know one another..

Oh my goodness I knoow!!! I guess its just the way their program works. I don't know if its because they notify you earlier about decisions and also consequently start earlier? Who knows?

I wonder if anyone else is in a similar situation, but I will be taking a pre-req class this semester and given Emory's start date, I'm not sure I'll be done with my class before the start of term!

When is your guys' start date?

My interview today was a success, and I have been told I am accepted to the NNP program!

Yay! Congratulations! What was your interview like? I've got one coming up so I'd love to hear about your experience. Did you meet some professors and administrators?

When is your guys' start date?

For ABSN/MSN, it's May 18th or something. It's quite early!

The interview was short and sweet, just a few questions about why I want to be an NNP, what I want form the program, etc. Then we went to look a the simulation lab, financial aid, and admissions for me to ask them questions as well. It was really much less intimidating than I thought it would be. Very laid back and quick. A very good experience!

Congratulations!!!! So happy you got in!!!

@lumen4 - i do know it's not mandatory, but these programs are a big time/$ commitment.. there's only so much information available online and in the provided resources. i like admitted student days because they're a great way to get a feel for the campus life and environment, vibe and personalities of peers, etc. (maybe i put too much emphasis on these factors, idk.) the traveling and planning process would be much easier if information was given ahead of time, that's all!

@ellelevy - i haven't enrolled yet for my course, but i'm in a similar situation as you. i'm cutting it really close! i was hoping to wait until i hear back from other schools, but i don't think that's a good idea anymore..

I don't have the link for the admitted students day. What is the schedule like? And do we bring our spouse or not? I know at other universities they encouraged us to bring a spouse so they could be involved in the process and ask questions as well.

You are entering as an MSN student, right? I think your Admitted Students Day is April 14, but I don't know the schedule. ABSN+MSN students have their day on February 6th (I think we've got that straight now! ;) ). I wasn't planning on bringing my partner... they didn't advise one way or the other, though! I bet you will get lots more info in the coming weeks, now that you are officially in!!

Anyone applied to the BSN program?? Anxiously waiting for march 1st...
