  1. For those starting at Emory in the Fall... I have a BARELY used otoscope/opthalmoscope by WelchAllyn that I got but never needed for the neonatal program. Its an adult size scope set. Would be interested in selling for less than retail. PM me if interested.
  2. I know that several were waitlisted at one point, but as for how many I do not know.
  3. I LOVE the NNP program. I seriously cannot speak highly enough about it. It is intense, a LOT of medical based study. But you must have a minimum of two years NICU RN full time experience in order to be admitted, and the experience is really needed in order to do well in the program. It is very intense, and fast paced. We get a TON of clinical hours, so i feel like I will be as well prepared as I can be when i graduate, but still know I will be a novice practitioner.
  4. I am currently in the program. I already had my BSN, and started this past Fall. I am neonatal, but spend a lot of time with the other specialties. I can try to help answer some questions for those of you that have some... i know when I was applying/waiting/agonizing over cost I wished I had someone to answer my million questions...
  5. Who is going to the student mixer in April? Are spouses supposed come too?
  6. I am in for Neonatal NP. I had a good (3.9 I think) GPA once previous grades were excluded for medical purposes. (Had a brain tumor last year) also scored in 150s on GRE.
  7. I paid my deposit but cannot get email to work yet anyone else having luck?
  8. Did everyone get their letters??
  9. Mine is not changed yet either...
  10. I know, I woke up at 7 am and as soon as I remembered it was March 1st today, i was online checking! haha but, the wait just continues. I also hate that they wait so long for financial aid to be sent out, because I know that will make the decision for some people, and also, the more time we have to plan for such large costs, the better.
  11. I did hear about the woodruff scholarship. It was a no. But other financial aid info is not sent out until April. They said it generally comes any time during April, so no set date it seems.
  12. Someone on another thread they heard today at 6
  13. I heard today from Vandy and have been admitted to the NNP program. I heard from Emory a little over a week ago. So now I just have to decide and pay my deposit. Good luck to everyone still waiting to hear!!
  14. I don't have the link for the admitted students day. What is the schedule like? And do we bring our spouse or not? I know at other universities they encouraged us to bring a spouse so they could be involved in the process and ask questions as well.
  15. The interview was short and sweet, just a few questions about why I want to be an NNP, what I want form the program, etc. Then we went to look a the simulation lab, financial aid, and admissions for me to ask them questions as well. It was really much less intimidating than I thought it would be. Very laid back and quick. A very good experience!
