So the application for the Fall 2015 BSN traditional/ ABSN/MSN has just opened up. I thought it may be nice to start a thread so any of the applicants can check on each others processes and get to know one another..
thanks, zoikers! congrats to you too! and yea, it is interesting that emory requires orgo.. i originally wasn't going to apply to emory because of the orgo pre-req, but i'm glad i reconsidered!
also i called the school and was told that only absn/msn decisions are out, so i guess we're all good :)
i think some people talked about finaid/scholarships earlier.. too bad emory-specific scholarships (fuld/woodruff) were due yesterday. i didn't think to look at them :x does anyone have any suggestions on where else to look for scholarships? thanks!
I've also applied to the ABSN program! We should be hearing back before March 1st (according to the website).
I believe the ABSN/MSN cohort starts in the summer, and the ABSN cohort starts in the fall.
Does anyone know how the waitlist process works? I think I got waitlisted because of a lack of clinical experience. I had a 4.0 GPA in
pre-requisites and and overall 3.4 GPA undergrad and last two year GPA, 3.8. I had publications in research, worked as an emergency scribe for 6 months, did mental therapy at the homeless shelter as a psychology intern for the public defender, volunteered at health clinics and stuff but it seems like all of the people that got accepted had some substantial clinical experience whether they were certified in something or employed in healthcare in some other capacity.
Hi there! I just received my letter of acceptance! I applied for the ABSN+MSN Family Nurse Midwife program and am assuming that's the program I was accepted into. I'm sure the physical letter will include more detailed information.
I currently live in Chicago and am very excited about the prospect of living in the South :)
@NURSINGFANATIC- now i'm a little worried too! I haven't a CNA license... I graduated with a degree in music performance, so it's a 180 degree turn. Since I've graduated I've been focusing on prereqs, volunteering at facilities where i try to get as much clinical experience, and shadowing.

I'd join but I'm not sure I'm going to Emory yet.
