Emory Fall 2015 Applicants

Published

So the application for the Fall 2015 BSN traditional/ ABSN/MSN has just opened up. I thought it may be nice to start a thread so any of the applicants can check on each others processes and get to know one another..

Accepted to ABSN/MSN FNP Program!!

My opus also says BSN. My acceptance letter is generic, no mention of program other than mentioning acceptance into the Emory nursing school. I am ABSN/MSN FNP btw

looks like i'm the only here applying to ABSN only? anyone else?

any ABSN only applicants receive acceptance letter?

Does anyone know how many clinical hours there are in the ABSN MSN program total?

Hello all!! Congratulations and good luck to those still waiting! I'm also accepted ABSN/MSN! What a feeling!! (And glad I can stop obsessively refreshing OPUS!) I've applied for the FNP program, but I'm also very interested in Midwifery. Does anyone else think they may choose a different specialty after they get to know the programs a little better? I think I remember Admissions saying this was totally fine, but curious to know your take. My acceptance letter/OPUS doesn't say anything about an MSN specialty yet... just BSN starting Summer 2015.

ABSN/MSN FNP here too!!! :D

thanks for letting me know! i did go back to check my application after i saw opus, but i wanted to be absolutely certain i didn't mess something up (i've had bad experiences with other school's admission processes so i'm a little paranoid) or get excited for no reason...

with all that said, i've also been accepted!! FNP :)

this means i have to take orgo ahh

So I've seen that past admitted applicants on allnurses have made facebook groups...anyone interested in having that? Meet each other, panic about housing together, etc. :D

Congrats umichfnp! I find it interesting that Emory requires organic chemistry none of the other schools that I applied to require it and it's not a common pre-req. I actually double-checked my application just to see if the program I applied to was right too.

Yeah that sounds good about the Facebook group but maybe not yet for me because I'm still waiting on results for a lot of schools although Emory seems like a pretty great school.

I would totally join a FB group but I'm not totally sure if I will be going to Emory yet. It will depend on what other schools I get into and what financial aid they offer me.

i got the letter too! is it bad that i'm a little hesitant to celebrate since it doesn't specify the MSN specialty? i'm only worried because i applied to nurse-midwifery and i also applied via nursingCAS, so who knows if that makes a difference. and i don't think i'll believe it until it's official! i'm clicking around OPUS to see if it specifies anywhere but so far no luck. congrats to everyone!
